Impact Of Female Labour Participation On Fertility Levels

China ' s fertility rate has been at the 1.6-1.7 for a long time,far below the replacement fertility rate of 2.1.Although as early as 2016,China implemented a fully open two-child policy,it has not achieved the expected results,and the risk of slipping into the ” fertility trap ” is increasing.Low fertility will bring serious negative effects and risks to the country's economic and social structure.How to provide a favorable atmosphere and mechanism for fertility subjects to help their fertility desires to transform into fertility behavior,and find out the key subject factors that affect fertility levels are extremely important;”Mystery” provides an important path.Based on the literature review,this paper combines an innovative female employment participation and fertility model,uses Chinese financial household date,and uses a binary model to empirically analyze the relationship between female labor participation and fertility and may be endogenous to it,with different children level.After verification,it was found that female labor participate on has a significant negative impact on the fertility level of one and two children;it has a significantly positive effect on the number of children in the family;in contrast,spouseparticipation in labor had a significant positive effect on the number of children and one child in the family.Woman's participation in the labor force increases woman's contradiction between family and work,and squeezes woman's fertility space,and then reduces fertility levels.In particular,it has a significant negative impact on the fertility level of two children.According to the result of this article,female participation in labor has a significant negative impact on the second Child's fertility level,the paper combined with my country's second-child policy,centering on solving the contradiction between women's participation in labor and childbirth.,Chinese government put forward policy recommendations and jointly establish a friendly childbirth environment at the family and social levels.
