| Background:Due to the aerobic capacity level will affect the performance of tennis player directly. In the various aerobic tests, the incremental treadmill test(TT)is the golden test, and the type of physiological loading of specific incremental hitting test(ST)is most specific. However,ST has highly required about equipment to conduct the test, and it is not feasible. On the other hand, the Yo-Yo IR1 test(YYIR1)includes the characteristics of tennis excepting the elements of works of the upper extremity and hitting. Therefore,it is still unclear if existing a measurement is feasible and suitable to measure the aerobic capacity of tennis players. Objective:to determine:(1)comparing with TT,if YYIR1 and ST also both can be the aerobic tests for measuring the collegiate tennis players(2)the relationship between YYIR1 and ST,which will provide a theoretical basis for simplifying the process of measuring aerobic capacity of tennis players.Methods:15 collegiate tennis players completed three incremental tests within3 weeks.Subjects wore a portable gas analyzer(K5,Cosmed,Rome,Italy)to analyze the inspired and expired gas in each test.Lactic acid concentration(Lac)was analyzed by the EKF-SCOUT analyzer(EKF,Germany)using blood samples from fingers. The differences of variables were compared using One-way ANOVA.Spearman's rank correlation coefficient was used to conduct the correlation analysis. Results:The difference of the test duration among three tests was significant(TT:698.6±98.6s,YYIR1:471.5±137.7s,ST:1087.4±279.6s;P=0.001,?"#=0.66).The difference of V?O2peak among three tests was not significant(TT:54.2±5.4 ml·kg-1·min-1,YYIR1:60.2±8.3 ml·kg-1·min-1,ST:56.1±6.2 ml·kg-1·min-1;P=0.054,?"#=0.13).The difference of the peak of Lac(Lacpeak)among three tests was significant(TT:12.07±2.0mmol/L,YYIR1:15.4±1.6 mmol/L,ST:9.1±1.9 mmol/L;P=0.001,?"#=0.68).The Test Duration of YYIR1 and the V?O2peak of ST exist a significant positive correlation(P=0.039,r=0.54).Conclusion:Given the fact that the V?O2peak of YYIR1and ST,both were not significantly lower than TT,so TT、YYIR1、ST can all measure the aerobic capacity of collegiate tennis players.Since the movement pattern of the YYIR1 involve part of characteristics of tennis, also the test duration of YYIR1 is significantly relevant to the V?O2peak of ST which is the most specific test.Thus,YYIR1can be used as a field test that is easier to conduct and also can assess the partial specific aerobic capacity of collegiate tennis players. |
