The period of the Republic of China was a turbulent historical period,but also a time of intense collision of old and new ideas and domestic and foreign cultures.New ideas,new trends and new education all represent the development demands of an era.As the carrier of education and even social culture,the connotation of textbooks can reveal one or two development trends of the era.The period of this study was selected from the period of nanjing national government(1927-1949),and the representative Chinese textbooks of primary schools in this period were taken as the research objects,such as the new mandarin textbook and the Renaissance mandarin textbook.This paper analyzes the development background of primary school textbooks in the late qing dynasty and the early Republic of China,the general situation of primary school textbooks in the period of nanjing national government,selection,content presentation and character image.In the overall grasp and specific analysis,explore the characteristics of primary school textbooks in the period of the Republic of China.The first chapter clarifies the evolution of primary school textbooks in late qing dynasty and early Republic of China as a whole.On this basis,the second chapter,combined with the educational policies and basic education situation of nanjing national government,sorts out the development situation of primary school textbooks in this period.The third chapter mainly introduces the compilation and review system of primary school textbooks during the period of nanjing national government,and generalizes and analyzes the selection and compilation standards of primary school textbooks in this period from the social,school and individual levels.The fourth and fifth chapters,in the form of case studies,take the representative Chinese textbooks of primary schools during the period of nanjing national government as the research objects,and respectively analyze the child-oriented content and character images of Chinese textbooks of primary schools during the period of nanjing national government in detail and in depth.The sixth chapter is on the basis of the full text,summed up the characteristics of the primary school Chinese textbooks in this period,and from the enlightenment.
