“Region” is one of the important research contents of geography.Cultivating regional cognitive literacy is conducive to improving the ability of high school students to understand the complexity and diversity of the earth's surface and reflects the educational value of geography.Nowadays,all countries regard regional thinking ability and regional decision-making ability as the important goals of high school geography education.Cultivating regional cognitive literacy is beneficial for high school students to adapt to the development of society and the times.At the same time,the tide of the development of modern information technology has swept across the world,and the research on educational technology in various countries is developing rapidly.Geographic Information System(GIS)is a kind of modern information technology with powerful functions,which also plays a powerful auxiliary role in geography teaching.However,there are few researches on the cultivation of high school students' regional cognitive literacy based on GIS in China.In this study,the author first confirmed through literature analysis that it is not only feasible but also has irreplaceable advantages to cultivate high school students' regional cognitive literacy through GIS.Then through the analysis of teaching materials and curriculum standards,select the content of the PEP high school teaching materials suitable for cultivating regional cognition through GIS.Then through case analysis and classroom observation,analyze the advantages and disadvantages of relevant cases,and design and develop their own cases on the basis of absorbing the advantages of other cases and considering the disadvantages.Finally,the paper puts forward the strategy of cultivating high school students' regional cognitive literacy based on GIS.The content of this study can be divided into the following six parts:The first part is an introduction.This part introduces the research background,current situation,content,significance,methods and technical route of this topic,and analyzes the relevant theoretical basis supporting this research topic.The second part is about the advantages and suitable contents of cultivating high school students' regional cognitive literacy based on GIS.This part defines the related concepts of GIS and regional cognition,analyzes the advantages of cultivating high school students' regional cognitive literacy based on GIS,and studies the contents that can cultivate regional geography in PEP Compulsory 3,and further selects the suitable contents through GIS.The third part is a case study on the cultivation of high school students' regional cognitive literacy based on GIS.In this part,the author selects representative excellent teaching cases for multi-angle analysis through the selection of literature.The fourth part is a case design based on GIS to cultivate high school students' regional cognitive literacy.This part is the main and core part of this study.The fifth part is the cultivation strategy.This part puts forward the cultivation strategy and suggestions according to the overall research of this article.The sixth part is the conclusion,which refines the conclusion of this study,analyzes the problems existing in this study,and looks forward to the development prospect of this subject.
