In 2017 edition high school chemistry new textbook idea: chemistry textbook editor should according to chemistry course standard, taking cultivation core literacy of chemistry as the main aim.In order to evaluate the new textbook's function in cultivating student core literacy of chemistry, examine how much importance different versions of textbooks have attached to the core literacy in chemistry, and incentive the difficulties in the evaluation of core literacy, the thesis focuses on the exercises on the textbooks of the People Education Edition and the Lu Ke Version.A comparative study from the perspective of Core Literacy in Chemistry is offered. The thesis is divided into three parts: construct tools;analyze coding;summary and discussion.Part one: construct tools.this paper establishes two research tools, which are exercise evaluate system and exercise analysis model. To begin with, the literacy elements are extracted from the five definitions of core literacy in chemistry presented in the new curriculum,Classify the new textbook appendix one ——core literacy in chemistry in different level, from the element perspective, then describe the four different levels of each element. Finally, based on the knowledge of “metal and non-metal”,revised the evaluation index from level 1 and 2 for each element and combined the expert advices to construct a suitable exercise evaluate system for “metal and non-metal”.To building the exercise analysis model, combined the extract elements in literacy with the four principles for designing exercises in new curriculum standard, then, clarifies the relationship “one nucleus, four layers, four wings”.Part two: code analysis.Establish the coding principles, and then invite senior chemistry teachers in high school to join encoding work: code the textbook exercises in “Metal and Non-Metal” in the People Education Edition and the Ruco Version. Then,we discussed different coding exercise to consistent with each other.Part three: summary and discussion. For further quantitative analysis, the statistics of the tested elements in “Metal and Non-Metal” in two versions new textbooks is offered and discussed from the two dimensions of both literacy types and literacy levels. Here are the main findings:1.In literacy type:(1)Both of these two versions of textbooks test five kinds of core literacy in chemistry with the same attention for each elements for two version textbook.(2)The People Education Edition pay more attention to element 1 and 2,while the Lu Ke Edition emphasizes more on element 3,4,5.(3)These two new versions of textbooks are similar in element 3,4.But when it comes to element 1,2,5,the People Education Edition is much better than the Lu Ke Edition in terms of scope.Hence, the People Education Edition, covering more knowledge than the other,is more suitable for cultivating students in all aspects.2.In literacy level:(1)The People Education Edition tend to test level 1 in five core literacy of chemistry. However,Lu Ke Edition in element 3,4 are more likely to level 2.(2)Two versions of new textbooks in level 1 are inclined to inspect element 1 and 4,but in level 2 tend to investigate element 4.(3)The People Education Edition test deeper than Lu Ke Edition in level 2,5,on the contrary in level 1,3,4.
