Since the 1980 s,estimating has attracted more and more attention in the world,as well as in China.After the new curriculum reform,estimating has become a new content of mathematics curriculum in China.Therefore,it is particularly important to study the content of estimation.It is conducive to deepening the understanding of estimating content,standardizing the presentation of estimating content in Jiangsu Educational Primary Mathematics Textbook,and promoting the effective development of estimating teaching.This study focuses on four aspects of estimating textbooks,namely,the distribution of estimating content,the presentation of estimating methods,the expression of estimating problems and the selection of estimating materials.This study mainly uses literature research method,content analysis method,questionnaire survey method and comparative analysis method.By comparing the new curriculum standards with the old ones in China and analyzing the estimation requirements of the foreign curriculum standards,the text analysis of the presentation of the estimation content in the textbooks of the Soviet Educational Press is carried out.Through teachers' questionnaires,this paper clarifies the current situation of textbook compilation and teaching implementation,finds out the compilation problems and teaching problems,and finally puts forward corresponding suggestions according to the problems.Through the research,I found that the Compilation Characteristics of the estimation content of the elementary school mathematics textbook of the Soviet Educational Press were:(1)the selection of the estimation content was more in line with the requirements of the curriculum standard;(2)the estimation content showed the characteristics of gradual progress;(3)the estimation content attached importance to the prediction function;(4)the estimation content focused on the combination of life situation.
