Research On Evolution Process And Development Trend Of Track And Field Events In Modern Olympic Games

In order to promote the sustainable development of the modern Olympic Games,the International Olympic Committee needs to attract new sports to participate in the Olympic Games on the one hand,and to ensure that the scale of the modern Olympic Games is under control.The size of the Olympic Games is not too large.The Olympic Games project has joined the emerging projects.It is necessary to eliminate the old projects with low participation and low visibility of the public.The track and field sports have gradually separated from the main position in the Olympic Games.For the track and field sports in the future development of the Olympic Games will not be replaced by other emerging projects,in order to allow more people in the community to actively participate in athletics,the track and field sports become the main course of school sports.Through the literature,historical research,logic analysis,comparative analysis and other research methods,this paper makes a reasonable division of the modern Olympics track and field development process,and divides its process into development exploration stage,slow development stage,rapid development stage and perfect stage.The stage project setting development process and its laws are explored and it is concluded that:(1)During the period of exploration and development from 1896 to 1920,the evolution of project setting showed irregular development characteristics.The main performance was the development of men's track and field events in this stage,and most of them were irregular projects.The project was relatively arbitrarily deleted.There are no specific rules for the rules,so this stage is mostly exploratory;at this stage,the Olympic track and field events have not yet been opened to women.(2)During the period of slow development from 1924 to 1956,the evolution of the project showed the characteristics of regular development.At this stage,the increase and decrease of men's track and field events was small and gradually became regular.At this stage,the men's jumping,throwing and short-span projects were already in the early stage.Developed into the current regularization project,all of which evolved into regularized projects in the middle and late stages;the women's track and field project has gradually joined the modern Olympic Games project,but at this stage,the women's track and field events are included in the Olympic Games in a small number,with only short distancesand simple technical jumps.Throwing projects,due to the development of the men's project,there is only one irregular project.(3)During the rapid development phase from 1960 to 2000,the evolution of the project setting showed that the number of projects was always increasing.The performance was mainly due to the increase of women's track and field events.The number and type of men's track and field projects were gradually moved toward the men's project type and quantity.The increase in women's projects is mainly for medium and long distance projects,and the men's projects are gradually developed and improved in the race walking projects.(4)In the perfect stage from 2000 to the present,the project setting evolution shows that the number of male and female projects is almost balanced,and the types of projects are consistent.The specific performances of the six major categories of male and female projects are all involved.The number of men and women is only one,and the50 km race is still not open to women.The modern Olympics track and field project setting analysis shows that the factors affecting the setting of track and field events include: changes in the selection requirements of the IOC project,and the improvement of popularization and promotion requirements;IAAF has many members,and the IAAF has developed the project.Ability and determination;the general public has diverse needs for track and field fitness and appreciation.The future track and field project setting is more in line with the requirements of the International Olympic Committee for project governance;it is more conducive to the development of track and field commercialization,promote the holding of various events,attract the elites of all countries to participate in track and field events,accelerate the commercial development;facilitate the popularization and promotion of track and field projects The broad participation of the public.The impact of the future setting of track and field events on China: Actively mobilize young people to actively participate in track and field courses,change the status quo of less and less people participating in track and field courses;increase the participation of athletics in track and field,increase the reserve strength of China'sathletic track and field,and enrich China's reserve talents Reserves;promote the implementation of China's national fitness strategy,more people participate in sports,and accelerate the realization of China's sports dreams of sports power.
