Every laborer has individual gaps, just like everyone is not the same,so different positions in the market can get unequal wages. It is reasonable that there is a certain degree of wage gap in the labor market, but this part of wage gap should not be caused by gender gaps.If only because of gender gaps,it leads to "different pay for the same work" in the labor market There is no doubt that it will bring great negative effects to the society. This paper starts from the gender wage gap, studies the influence of technological progress on gender wage gap.Based on Statistical yearbook of china and China Labor Statistical Yearbook from 2010 to 2016,this paper calculates the total factor productivity of 19 industries in China, and uses the total factor productivity to replace the technological progress, and makes an empirical analysis combining the micro section data of CFPS in 2010,2012,2014 and 2016.By introducing Oaxaca-Blinder decomposition model to decompose the explainable part and the unexplainable part that affect the gender wage gap,we can get the impact of technological progress on the gender wage gap. When we use Solow residual method to calculate TFP to measure technological progress,we find that China's industrial technological progress is obvious. Then according to the value of gender wage ratio of women / men in different quantiles,we know the current situation of gender wage distribution in China, and find that the gender wage gap of middle and low-end labor force is relatively larger than that of middle and high-end labor force, and there is a gender wage gap between industries in China. The empirical results show that the technological progress measured by TFP is conducive to improving workers' wages and reducing the gender wage gap.Based on the empirical conclusion that technical progress can reduce the gender wage gap, this article proposes four policy recommendations.First of all,we should further strengthen the physical construction and promote the development of technological progress;secondly,by promoting the reform of state-owned enterprises,we should enhance the enthusiasm for independent innovation of enterprises;again, increase the rate of return on education for women and reduce the gap in the rate of return on gender labor. Finally,it is possible to strengthen professional skills training for women and encourage companies to train women,so that women can make career choices based on their own advantages, improve women's employment competitiveness, and then narrow the gender pay gap in the industry.
