In recent years, the topic of "the second generation of officials","the second generation of rich" and "the second generation of poor" has emerged in an endless stream. It has become an indisputable fact that social resources are classed, and the intergenerational mobility has gradually attracted the attention of all walks of life.Intergenerational mobility represents the change of children's social status relative to that of their parents, and its size reflects the degree of dependence between the development of children and their parents. And subjective well-being as an important indicator to measure the quality of life is closely related to the children's own development and family background. It can be seen that there is an inevitable connection between intergenerational mobility and subjective well-being.In recent years, scholars at home and abroad began to study the relationship between the two,but the research is still in the embryonic stage.Based on this background, this paper makes an in-depth study on the influence of intergenerational mobility on happiness, tries to provide a new direction for the research on the influence of domestic happiness, deepen the understanding of the influence of intergenerational mobility, and discuss the strategies to improve residents' happiness.Firstly, this paper reviews the literature on intergenerational mobility and subjective well-being,proposes the theory of the influence of intergenerational mobility on subjective well-being,and analyzes the current situation of intergenerational mobility and subjective well-being in China and the trend from 2005 to 2015.Secondly,the intergenerational mobility influence on subjective well-being is divided into direct effect and indirect effect, using Chinese General Social Survey(CGSS)2015,selects income mobility, education mobility and occupational mobility three aspects measure intergenerational mobility. The direct and indirect impact models of intergenerational mobility on subjective well-being were constructed respectively, and the impact of intergenerational mobility on subjective well-being was analyzed empirically by Order Logit regression. Then, the mediating effect model between intergenerational flow and subjective well-being is established to test whether the intermediate variables produce mediating effect and how much mediating effect they produce,so as to clarify the influence path of intergenerational flow on subjective well-being.Finally,a robustness test is performed on the impact analysis and mediation effect analysis conclusions of the entire sample, and after the test is passed, the entire sample is divided into urban and rural groups by region to study the urban-rural differences in impact analysis and mediation effect analysis. The following main research conclusions are obtained:First,in the direct impact, intergenerational mobility in income, intergenerational mobility in education, and intergenerational mobility in employment have a direct impact on subjective well-being.Second,among the indirect effects, both intergenerational mobility of income and occupation can alleviate the negative effects of Income inequality, opportunity inequality, unequal access to income and unequal educational opportunities for children on subjective well-being,and enhance the positive effects of social equity on subjective well-being.The intergenerational mobility of education can only alleviate the negative effects of opportunity inequality, unequal access to income and unequal educational opportunities for children on subjective well-being.Third,the mediating effects of income inequality, opportunity inequality and social equity on subjective well-being were 5.76%,5.93% and 22.56%,respectively;Inequality of opportunity has a mediating effect of 14.57% in the indirect effect of intergenerational mobility of education on subjective well-being;The sense of social equity has a mediating effect of 22.96% in the indirect effect of intergenerational occupational mobility on subjective well-being.Fourth,there is urban-rural heterogeneity in the analysis of the influence of intergenerational mobility on subjective well-being and the analysis of the mediating effect.Based on the research conclusions, this paper proposes the following policy suggestions: To improve residents' subjective well-being,we should start with intergenerational mobility and intermediate variables. These include: improve fiscal and tax related policies, introduce new regulations on income regulation, improve fiscal and taxation systems, and reduce income inequality.Control the wealth inheritance of high-income families, and increase the intergenerational flow of income of residents. The government increases input in rural education, optimizes the allocation of educational resources, provides equal educational opportunities, guarantees the educational opportunities of children from low-income families, guarantees equal opportunities, and promotes the upward mobility of education among generations.Improve poverty alleviation policies in poor areas, provide necessary institutional support and preferential policies for lower-class groups, break the rigid social system, and promoting social equity.Provide vocational skills training in poor areas and low-income groups, and promote the upward mobility of professional generations.
