The 21 st century is the century of ocean.President Xi Jinping pointed out in the report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China: “Adhere to land and sea coordination and accelerate the construction of a strong maritime power.” China is a large maritime country,but not a powerful country in marine development,utilization,and protection,which is related to the current low level of marine awareness among our citizens.According to statistics,the marine awareness of China's under-18-year-old group is very weak,including senior high school students.Therefore,senior high school geography education and teaching must shoulder the important responsibility of enhancing young people's marine awareness,cultivating young people's key competencies,and implementing the task of morality education.In terms of learning methods,young people are much easier to accept activity-based learning.Study travel has become the first choice.It provides a real situation for geography teaching,in which students' multivariate model learning methods(including visual,auditory,tactile,temperature sense,etc)can fully reflect the learning effect of students.In this paper,literature review,questionnaire survey,field investigation,and other research methods are employed.Under the guidance of the General Senior High School Geography Curriculum Standard(2017)and on the basis of survey results and Tianjin Marine Resources,the case design research of the Tianjin Senior High School Geography and Marine Research Institute is conducted.The study yielded the following results:(1)By using the literature research method,this paper summarizes the current situation of the implementation and development of study travel at home and abroad.The study found that overseas research on study travel started early,with rich research results,and is well integrated into the curriculum in practice,but it is more inclined to the direction of tourism and less integrated with education In China,research on study travel started late,and the research results are mainly focused on the development background,design and implementation of research travel.But no matter at home and abroad,there are very few practices and research on the "ocean" study trip.(2)Through the questionnaire surveys of serving geography teachers in senior high school,it is found that the number of school study travel is very small,and among them,ocean-themed topics are rare.Most geography teachers agree that study travel is one of the ways to cultivate students' marine awareness.At the meantime,rural resources are an important support for carrying out research trips.(3)This paper proposes the general process of Marine study travel scheme design,and summarizes the series of themes of Marine research travel according to the curriculum standard.Not only it establishes the objective level of Marine research travel,but also proposes the appropriate content and method of Marine research travel.Finally constructs the evaluation scale of Marine research travel.(4)With the help of field investigation and case design,taking Tianjin as an example,this paper designs a research plan with the theme of “Ocean” — “The Shore of the Bohai Sea”.The theme,route,goals,and content were specifically explained,which provides a reference for geography teachers to carry out theme-based marine study travel.The above research enriches the contents of marine research trips both in theory and practice.However,there exists some limitations.Firstly,the investigation is not sufficient.Secondly,the research plan is not used into practice.The next step is to apply the research plan into practice,and constantly optimize and summarize,hoping to condense valuable experience.
