SWOT Analysis And Case Design Of High School Geography Study Travel

Since November 2016,11 departments including the Ministry of Education and the Tourism Bureau jointly issued the "Opinions on Promoting Research and Tourism in Primary and Secondary Schools",and the study travel has gradually developed to the national strategic level,which has aroused widespread concern in the education and tourism circles.As a product of the comprehensive practical activity curriculum,the research travel has followed the trend of the new curriculum reform,which has an inestimable effect on improving the overall quality of students and achieving comprehensive development.The learning style of knowing and doing is particularly important in geography with both comprehensive and regional characteristics.The study tour takes students out of the school gate,placing them in real life situations,using cooperative learning and other learning methods to turn abstract book knowledge into images,and studies the relationship between human and nature,people and society.This is the important ways of the cultivating four core geographic literacy of coordination,comprehensive thinking,regional cognitive ability and geographical practice.Based on the needs of the development of geography teaching,this paper uses the literature analysis method to combine the geography subject with the research travel,and select Nanchang City as an example to investigate and analyze the development of high school students' geography research travel.Results SWOT matrix was constructed by SWOT analysis.Finally,the implementation strategy of high school geography research travel was proposed,and the geography study travel case was designed for reference.This paper draws the following conclusions:(1)Implementation of high school geography research travel activities.Using the questionnaire survey method,students were found to have a positive attitude towards the study tour.They believed that the study tour was helpful for studying geography,but the school had too few opportunities to lead the majority of students to participate in the study tour.The travel expenses also became a constraint on student participation.Using the interview method,it is found that high school geography teachers pay more attention to geography research travel,and they all think that there is a need for development.However,the school is limited by factors such as further education,safety,capital,and the disadvantages of research travel,which leads to the obstacles of geography participation in research travel..(2)High school geography research travel implementation strategy based on SWOT analysis.Through the analysis of the advantages,disadvantages,threats and opportunities of high school geography research travel,the two strategies are combined to form four strategies to provide reference for the implementation of research travel.The SO strategy is to actively implement the promotion of the research travel policy and design the geography research course.The ST strategy is to set industry standards,research objectives reasonably,and select outstanding cases to drive industry development.The WO strategy is to increase financial subsidies,coordinate the departments,establish a research base,and strengthen professional training for teachers.The WT strategy is to cooperate with home and school to ensure safe and efficient activities,build a platform for research and communication,promote common progress in the industry,prepare high-quality research manuals,pay attention to evaluation and assessment,and improve student research results in all aspects.(3)High school geography study travel case design.Taking Nanchang City as an example,combining the tourism resources to enumerate the geography research points,and selecting the representative points to carry out the research activities,the aim is to provide reference for the first-line geography teachers,so that the value of geography research travel can be effectively played.
