| With the mission of cultivating social elites,Ivy League of America insists on recruiting talents with all-round development and potential leadership.Understanding and studying the historical change process of the enrollment system of world-class universities will help us to further study and learn from it.From the perspective of historical development,studying the formation and change of its enrollment system provides a new and more comprehensive perspective thinking.This paper mainly uses the research theories and methods of historical research and literature analysis to study the historical change process of the Ivy League college enrollment system.According to the grasp of the core concept of the enrollment system,combined with the actual situation of the American college enrollment work,this paper divides the Ivy League college enrollment system into enrollment concept,enrollment policy,enrollment standard and enrollment standard Four dimensions of enrollment process are discussed and sorted out.On the basis of a systematic review of the existing research literature at home and abroad,this paper focuses on the transformation process,influencing factors,characteristics and formation reasons of the Ivy League undergraduate enrollment system in the United States.This thesis is divided into seven parts,the first part is the introduction,which puts forward the research problems,research methods and related literature review on inland and abroad,on the basis of which the research design of this paper is proposed.The second part studies the historical evolution of Ivy League college enrollment system before the Second World War,including the establishment and development process of the college,the main enrollment concepts and standards before the Second World War.These traditional school history and enrollment history have a profound impact on thedevelopment of later colleges and universities,as the foreshadowing of the following chapters.The third part focuses on the changing process of Ivy League's enrollment concept after the Second World War,respectively,from the historical characteristics of different stages after the Second World War,and details the changes of the enrollment concept of famous schools in the context of social,political and economic development.The fourth part focuses on the change process of Ivy League school enrollment policy after World War II.Due to the change of enrollment concept caused by post-war situation,social movement,economic development and other factors,the enrollment policy of famous schools also develops and updates constantly.Each new enrollment policy reflects the core enrollment concept of this period.The fifth part focuses on the change process of Ivy League's enrollment standard after World War II.Just as the policy is based on the concept,the enrollment standard is also the reflection of the core concept and the enrollment policy in different historical periods,which are closely linked.The latter is based on the former and changes with it.The sixth part is to sort out the changes of Ivy League's enrollment process after the World War II.According to the new policy,the enrollment work and enrollment procedures will change accordingly to implement the policy requirements.The seventh part is the final chapter,which is the conclusion and reflection.It mainly analyzes the main reasons for the change of Ivy League's enrollment system after the Second World War,and summarizes the main particularity and shortcomings in the process of change.Finally,it discusses several places that China can learn from.Through the research of this paper,it can be seen that American Ivy League is not an enrollment League,and its eight member schools are in administrative management There is no alliance of any kind in the work of management,organization and enrollment,and there is no unified enrollment examination,unified enrollment standard and self-organized additional examination.At present,the independent enrollment of some colleges and universities in our country can refer to the model of Ivy League schools in the formulation of enrollment standards and the improvement of selection methods. |
