In 2017,the newly issued Chinese curriculum standards for senior high schools issued by the ministry of education proposed the term " core literacy of Chinese ",which has aroused a great interest in learning and research in the Chinese education sector.However,it is still unclear how to implement it in classroom teaching.The new curriculum reform requires more reading,especially in the reading of traditional cultural works.In some areas,Chinese classroom teaching in middle schools is difficult to train students' "Chinese core quality" according to the curriculum standards,and the effect is not ideal.Therefore,aiming at the problem of cultivating "Chinese core quality" in the teaching of classical novels,this study selected six randomly selected classes in grade one and grade two of Longjiang middle school in Foshan city,Guangdong province as the investigation objects,and found that the problems were related to several factors: students' reading preference,bad habits and weak reading foundation;Teachers ignore students' reading personality and the unreasonable use of teaching media.Therefore,this paper looked for literature and relevant examples and proposed problem-solving strategies.Before class,in class and after class,students strictly checked the three links.Compare the similarities and differences between Chinese and Cantonese in class,accumulate the usage of ancient Chinese words and phrases to consolidate the knowledge base of ancient culture,and improve reading after class with reasonable methods.When preparing lessons before class,teachers should make clear the requirements of class standards and interpret texts deeply.Classroom teaching should pay attention to students' reading personality and use teaching media appropriately.Recommend practical book list after class,encourage students to read,and arrange practical reading tasks for students to complete the transformation of reading content.In the spare time,parents and schools jointly promote the establishment of a scholarly campus to create a good cultural reading atmosphere for students.
