Nowadays,it is common in the world to develop and reform the education on the theme of core literacy.The concept of Chinese core literacy is in line with the tendency to develop and reform the education and meets the requirements of quality--oriented education.Classical Chinese teaching is significant in the Chinese teaching in senior high schools and plays an important part in training the students' Chinese core literacy.However,there are a lot of problems in the classical Chinese teaching in senior high schools,which is bad for the classical Chinese teaching.Therefore,this paper tries to find some effective strategies for the classical Chinese teaching in senior high schools,to solve the problems in classical Chinese teaching and to implement the idea of core literacy.There are four parts in this paper.The first part is introduction.It focuses on the value and the ways of the study and something about the present Chinese core literacy and classical Chinese teaching in senior high schools.The second part explains the meaning of Chinese core literacy and classical Chinese.It discusses the compilations of classical Chinese in the PEP edition of Chinese textbooks for high schools,the characteristics of classical Chinese teaching in senior high schools,the features of classical Chinese teaching based on Chinese core literacy in senior high schools.The third part analyzes a survey about part of the students and teachers in two senior high schools in Chenggong Area,Kunming and concludes the general problems in classical Chinese teaching in senior high schools : misunderstanding the teaching objectives,mistakenly defining the teaching materials,ignoring the students' essence status.What's more,the ways to evaluate the classical Chinese teaching is inflexible;the students are not interested in classical Chinese learning and they don't learn classical Chinese by themselves.The last part discusses the teaching strategies of classical Chinese teaching in senior high schools,which are based on the Chinese core literacy,from the five aspects of teaching objectives,teaching materials,teaching methods,teaching evaluation and teachers and students themselves.
