Analysis On The Makeup Behavior Of White-collar Women In China Under The Influence Of Makeup Fashion

At present,the makeup behavior of female white-collar workers in our country is becoming more and more common.Behind its popularity is the co-writing of politics,economy,culture and technology.This research starts from the current makeup fashion in China and studies the makeup behavior of female white-collar workers under its influence.It aims to answer how and why women white-collar workers makeup in China,and tries to understand the contemporary youth's anxiety,gender construction and physical discipline from the living conditions of female white-collar workers.In terms of research methods,this study mainly adopts three research methods: interview,participatory observation and content analysis.Influenced by makeup fashion,the current white-collar women's make-up behavior presents the characteristics of universal makeup,ritual fashion makeup,continuous study of makeup and rationalized makeup consumption.The study found that,from a macro perspective,it is inevitable for female white-collar workers to start makeup frequently,which is the result of various social forces using makeup fashion as a carrier to implement physical discipline for women.Capital,male order and mass media conspired to produce "beauty standard" and the myth of "beauty brought by makeup",sweetly persuading individuals to reform their bodies according to standards.However,in the face of overwhelming structural factors,female white-collar workers are not only passively disciplined.Starting from personal life experience,makeup is their active choice after full rational thinking.Makeup is an action strategy to construct fashion identity,a body technique for impression management,a representational somaesthetics,and a everyday life practice of "escape but do not leave".Behind the changeable makeup,it is a self-controlled rational subject.Through makeup,young female whitecollar workers can cope with the risks,respond to the multiple requirements of the society,and achieve creative self-improvement.
