Women's pursuit of "beauty makeup" changes from generation to generation with changing styles and an untiring heart.Since the ancient saying that "women's makeup are pleasing to her lover" has been used up to now,few people have truely explored what women think in the process of "beauty makeup".T he expression of women hidden behind "beauty makeup" is often neglected or despised. In recent years, with the help of the immediacy, interactivity and convenience of the Internet, more and more young people gather in the cyberspace to express themselves, relevant academic research is also emerging in endlessly, but there are very few studies about the female online community explored from a female perspective. With the rise of the "beauty bloggers" in the world, some "beauty makeup" network communities which mainly composed of women has gradually formed with the "beauty bloggers" as the nodes. This article takes the“Beauty Area" in the well-known domestic video website bilibili as an example,to interpret this female communication space through participatory observation and in-depth interviews, trying to grasp the subjective initiative in the process of group participation and explore the current women's cultural prac tiee process of "beauty makeup".The study found that women built a "Utopia" style of communication space based on the "beauty makeup" community.Through the production and use of the "beauty makeup" symbol, leading and manipulating the meaning of it,women can not only achieve self-identity and group identity, but also gain the po ssibility of challenging the inherent gender norms.Although jumping out of the Utopia, women may only get an altermative imagination of social identity, but it still shows the hope of the emergence of female power.
