Implicit memory is the memory manifested by the individual's experience automatically, which affects the current task without conscious or intentional recall.Tablet teaching refers to a teaching method that integrates the image, text, sound, and animation of the knowledge presented through the tablet to make the learning content vivid and lively and to achieve the interactive effect as well. With the rapid development of science and technology, new products such as tablet have shown the trend of a younger age,and they have gradually played an important role in early childhood education and basic education. In the past, the preponderance of studies focused on the impact of tablet teaching on preschooler's cognitive ability such as mathematic ability and attention. However, the developmental characteristics of preschooler's implicit memory and the influence of two teaching methods on their development have not been discussed in depth. In order to explore the actual teaching effect of tablet computers, and compare the impact of different types of learning materials on the development of children's implicit memory in tablet teaching and conventional teaching, this study adopts a field experiment method, which is divided into two parts to explore the effect of tablet teaching on the development of preschooler's implicit memory.Study 1 investigated the development characteristics of implicit memory of 197 children aged 3?5 years old;Study 2,based on the result of Study 1,and combined with the accelerated period of children's implicit memory development and adopted the both methods of tablet teaching and conventional teaching to carry out the teaching activities to 113 4-year-old children for two months,in order to explore the impact of tablet teaching method on the development of children's implicit memory. The results are as following:1.The implicit memory of children aged 3 to 5 years old has shown a gradual increasing trend. The level of implicit memory in 5-year-old children is significantly higher than that of the 3-year-old and 4-year-old children, and the growth rate of implicit memory of 3?4-year-old children is significantly slower than that of 4?5-year-old children.Hence, the age of 4 is the accelerated period of children's implicit memory development.2.The implicit memory of 4-year-old children in both groups was significantly improved.Different types of learning materials improve children's implicit memory at different level. For children's implicit memory, the conventional teaching method is more conducive when learning reading comprehension materials, while the tablet teaching has a better effect when learning implicit memory materials.3.The improvement of children's implicit memory in the two teaching methods is fast first and then slowing down, that is,the main improvement period of implicit memory is the early and middle stages of teaching.
