A Study Of The Case Work Involved In The Reconstituted Family Of The Relationship Between Step-mother And Daughter

Nowadays,the parent-child relationship conflicts in the reorganization of family relationships are continuing,which is essentially the result of the self-selection of both children and step-parents.Compared with the general nuclear family,the difference in the structure of the reorganized family and the relationship between family members makes the problem of the parent-child relationship of the reorganized family more complicated,and the changes in the family system caused by the family reorganization make the non-blood relationship between the stepparent and stepchild for sensitive and fragile.The quality of the relationship between stepparents and stepchildren will not only affect the growth of stepchildren,but also affect the stability of stepfamilies.In most reorganized families,the stepmother takes on more responsibility for educating the children,spends more time with the children in daily life and is more prone to conflict than the stepfather.Based on the theory of parent-child communication system and under the realistic background of frequent parent-child conflicts in modern reorganized families,this study takes 17 biological father and stepmother families in N community of Lanzhou as the survey object,through questionnaires and field visits,in-depth understanding of the current situation of stepmother-daughter relationship in N community restructuring families.It is found that there are some problems in the stepmother-daughter relationship in the reorganized family,such as the stepdaughter's disapproval of the stepmother's identity,the low degree of trust between the stepmother and the stepdaughter,and the single content of communication between the stepmother and the stepdaughter.The causes of the contradiction between stepmother and stepdaughter are analyzed from four aspects: the weak emotional foundation between stepmother and stepdaughter,the stereotype of stepmother,the exclusion psychology of stepdaughter itself,and the uneven distribution of resources between stepdaughter and their own children.On this basis,by taking family Z as an example,through ten intervention services to the case owner and her family,the alienation between the case owner and stepdaughter parent-child relationship was clarified,the conflict between them was alleviated,the parent-child communication mode was changed,and the relationship between the case owner and stepdaughter was improved.Through the evaluation of the case owner and her stepdaughter,it is found thatthe social work method of the case has a certain effect in improving the reorganization of the family stepmother-daughter relationship.Case social work can assess the actual needs of the client according to the parent-child relationship conflicts at different stages,continuously adjust the intervention plan,effectively solve the practical problems,build a harmonious parent-child relationship,and promote family harmony.
