Communication is a tool for the average person to transmit information or express a will,but it is a great difficulty for some adults with intellectual disabilities.Most adults with intellectual disabilities have a lack of cognitive ability,a lack of class ability,poor language skills,and obvious barriers to communication(Lin Precious,2004).Therefore,the adult with intellectual disability has low social participation and poor quality of life in real life.In the 1980 s,Light(1988)proposed that intervention through the Augmented Communication System(AAC)could help people with communication disabilities broaden their channels of communication.Improve the language ability in a short period of time to express the content of the correct transmission to the communication object.The study of using AAC intervention to improve the communication ability of people with cerebral palsy,autism and other physical and mental disabilities is not in the minority,the research object is mostly concentrated in the youth,with low oral intellectual disability adults as the research object is few.In addition,in recent years,the state welfare system has provided a series of support for the placement and transfer of adults with intellectual disabilities,and this group of adults with intellectual disabilities deserves attention and discussion.Therefore,this study takes an adult with low oral intellectual disabilities as the research object,discusses the effect of using AAC on his communication ability,with a view to improving his communication ability to improve their quality of life,social participation and so on.This study aims to explore the effectiveness of AAC's communication with the daily dialogue of adults with low oral intellectual disabilities in the life situation of the Sunshine Home.The research method adopts the cross-behavioral multi-exploration experiment design of a single subject-test method,takes a low-speaking intellectually disabled adult as the research object,and the researchers,according to the current ability and realistic needs of the research object,self-edited dialogue script as the teaching content,and use high-tech communication aids with the "waiting to bloom" software to intervene.The control variables in this study are the researchers,the experimental location,the experimental time,the evaluation method and the evaluation criteria,the variables refer to the AAC teaching intervention,the variables refer to the correct rate of communication vocabulary pairing,the correct rate of communication statements and the effect of the classification,and according to the baseline period,dry expectation and maintenance period collected data,using the consistency between observers,the use of observer consistency,Visual analysis is analyzed to understand the learning effect of the subjects.In addition,the researchers achieved social effectiveness by interviewing two teachers and an aunt.The results of this study are as follows:After adults with low oral intellectual disability received AAC teaching,their acquisition of communication vocabulary and communication statements was effective,and their ability to identify words and the ability to construct sentences were improved.After receiving AAC teaching,adults with low oral intellectual disability have improved their communication skills,and they can make clear their needs and invite others.In addition,its conversational expression has a class-like effect that allows it to migrate acquired communication skills to other contexts.Adults with low oral intellectual disability have better social validity after receiving AAC teaching.Broaden the research environment and improve the external validity of the research.Finally,the researchers put forward relevant recommendations based on the results of the study:Communication content should be in line with the learner's daily needs,difficulty should be in line with the learner's current level of ability.Communication aids should be an alternative communication tool for people with communication difficulties,and choose according to the specific situation.Communication support resources and related information should be promoted in special schools and related institutions,extended to different people with physical and mental disabilities,to solve different communication problems...
