The Research On The Influence Of Large-scale Sports Events On Urban Economic Development

Marathon plays an important role in promoting the national fitness and expanding the city influence,which is mainly reflected in driving economic,urban promotion and the citizens participation.The related industries represented by marathon have become a new driving force to promote the development of national fitness,local culture,industrial structure and urban upgrading.This paper used many research method such as literature,field survey,questionnaire survey,mathematical statistics to conduct in-depth study of Lanzhou International Marathon.Finally,based on the understanding of the development status of Lanzhou International Marathon,and combined with the urban economic factors,we can draw a conclusion,and provide scientific,reasonable and effective suggestions or opinions for the future of Lanzhou and other provinces and cities to hold marathon events.The main contents of this paper are divided into three parts: the first part is the analysis of the current situation of sports consumption and financing investment during Lanzhou International Marathon;the second part is the satisfaction survey of the participants in Lanzhou International Marathon;The third part is the problems and shortcomings of marathon events.Through the analysis,the following conclusions are drawn: the large-scale sports events stimulate the relevant investment and financing,and produce huge economic benefits,mainly reflected in the growth of relevant enterprises and the city's tertiary industry.Large scale sports events can promote the development of urban industry,especially the modern service industry.The sports consumption generated by large-scale sports events can inject vitality into the urban economic development,what's more,the satisfaction of competitors is the key factor for the sustainable development of related industries of urban sports events.As an important part of sports industry,the preparation and service of large-scale sports events are tests for the city comprehensive strength.In view of the existing problems,the following suggestions are put forward: 1.Using new media technology such as sports vlog to broadcast the event,which can show the unique charm of the event and the city.2.To establish the "point system" for rewarding,which can enhance the desire of competitors to participate in the competition.3.Through the guidance of social capital,the investment fund of Lanzhou international marathon should be established,and the financing system platform of the marathon will be set up too.Finally,I hope all the suggestions in this paper can alleviate the problem of single financing source in Lanzhou International Marathon.
