The elementary school stage is a critical period for the individual physical and mental development of students. It is necessary to pay attention to the cultivation of their physical qualities and mental health so that the physical and mental aspects of primary school students can be fully developed. In contemporary society, sports are getting more and more attention, and some researchers have begun to pay attention to the impact of sports on physical and mental health.Speed ??skating as a new type of fitness exercise can improve physical fitness and cultivate students' interest in sports. However, there are few related studies on the effect of speed skating on the physical and mental health of pupils.Based on the previous research results, combined with the characteristics of speed skating,it makes bold attempts and experiments.Under the guidance of experts,it studies the impact of speed skating on the physical and mental health of primary school students in the elementary school. This paper adopts research methods such as literature method, questionnaire survey method, experiment method, mathematical statistics method and so on.Taking Changde Jida Shangde Primary School as an example,148 students from 4 classes were selected as subjects(83 boys and 65 girls). The experimental group consisted of a total of 74 students in two classes of Class 1 in 3 years and Class 2 in 3 years, and implemented speed skating lessons. The control group consisted of 4 classes in 3years and 5 classes in 3 years, with a total of 74 people, and implemented traditional physical education classes. After a 12-week experiment,we tried to reveal the effect of speed skating on the physical fitness and mental health of primary school students, provide a theoretical basis for the physical and mental health of primary school students, and quickly promote the development of speed skating in Changchun Primary School. The conclusion of the study is as follows:1.Studies have shown that speed skating has greatly improved the physical fitness of pupils. The experimental group and the control group found that there are very significant differences between the pre-and post-test tests in the 4 indicators of50-meter running, standing long jump, solid ball and one-minute skipping, indicatingthat speed skating can improve the speed quality of primary school students,Explosive power of upper limbs, explosive power of lower limbs, physical coordination level and endurance qualities.2.Studies have shown that speed skating has significantly improved the pupils' ability to support one foot, indicating that speed skating can improve the balance of pupils through their own characteristics.A3.Studies have shown that by comparing the physical fitness indexes of the experimental group and the control group before and after the experiment,it was found that the pupils of the experimental group flexed their lung capacity,50-meter run, standing long jump, solid ball,one-minute skipping rope and sitting forward. The six indicators, such as before and after the experiment, have a very significant improvement in comparison, indicating that speed skating has improved the physical fitness of pupils overall. The pupils in the control group also had a significant improvement in spirometry and flexion before sitting. This shows that traditional physical education can also change the physical quality of primary school students. But speed skating is more comprehensive than traditional physical education in terms of improving physical fitness.4.Studies have shown that speed skating has a positive effect on the mental health of pupils. The comparison between the primary school students in the experimental group and the control group before and after the experiment found that the primary school students in the experimental group and the control group were very significant in learning disabilities, emotional disorders, personality defects, social adaptation disorders, moral defects, bad habits and total scores.Difference, the score of the experimental group is significantly lower than the control group. It shows that speed skating exercise has a good effect on the overall improvement of pupils' mental health, and the effect is better than traditional physical education.5.Studies have shown that by comparing the mental health indicators of the primary and secondary school students in the experimental group and the control group before and after the experiment, there is a significant difference in the total scores of the mental health levels of the primary and secondary students in the experimental group before and after the experiment.Obstacles, emotional disorders, personality defects, social adaptation disorders, bad habits, behavioral disorders, special disorders and other subscales also have significant differences. There was no obvious difference in the mental health level of the pupils in the control group before and after the experiment, indicating that the traditional physical education class did not significantly improve the mental health level of the primary school students, which also showed that speed skating compared with the traditional physical education class in terms of psychological improvement Bigger advantage.
