With the advancement of the new curriculum reform,the whole book reading has gradually attracted the attention of the Chinese educational circles.In the 2017 edition of the Chinese curriculum standards for ordinary high schools issued by the Ministry of Education,clearly stated that the "whole book reading and Research" as a strong independence of the study task group,and this infiltration into the compulsory and elective courses,from which we can see that the whole book reading has been given enough attention.The reading of the whole book plays an important role in setting up the whole consciousness of the students,improving their language ability and cultivating their reading habits.However,the implementation of the whole book is still facing many challenges due to its length,time-consuming and students' reading conditions.Therefore,the author has consulted the High School Language Whole Book Reading Related Material,and unifies in the practice school's investigation,carries on the further research to the Xinjiang s high school whole book reading implementation.This research first through the questionnaire way,aims at s high school student's entire book reading interest,the habit,the method,the reading environment,the reading activity development situation and the entire book reading achievement appraisal six aspects to carry on the investigation,summing up the main problems in reading the whole book at present,the specific performance is: The student whole book reading interest is not high,the whole book reading total quantity is too low,the whole book reading lacks the plan,the whole book reading method lacks the effective instruction,the whole book reading activity form is unitary and so on.Based on this,this paper analyzes the reasons from three aspects: the inadequate protection of school books,the weak reading atmosphere in the family,the heavy burden of students' school work,the neglect of reading the whole book,the pursuit of a relaxed and entertaining psychology in reading,the teacher's teaching task is heavy,lacks the effective instruction to the entire book reading.Finally,on the basis of the analysis of the causes,this paper puts forward some strategies to improve the reading of the whole book,which are: to stimulate students' interest in reading the whole book by the use of the opportunity and cross-border reading,establish a good reading atmosphere in schools and families to create a good reading atmosphere,recommend suitable books to students,make reasonable arrangements for the reading time of the whole book,scientifically set the reading task of the whole book to work out the reading plan of the whole book,using skimming and intensive reading to guide the reading method of the whole book,writing small papers and cooperative discussion to promote the development of the reading activity of the whole book,the evaluation subject is enriched,and the evaluation method is more flexible,make a reasonable appraisal of the whole book.
