Group Social Work To Improve Interpersonal Communication Ability Of Urban Empty Nest Youth

The interpersonal problems of "empty nest youths" have gradually become a hot issue in society.At present,the lack of intimacy among empty nest youths has become a hot issue of social concern."Empty nest youths" refer to young people who are separated from their loved ones and live alone."Empty Nest Youth" They are far away from their hometown,relatives and friends,and come to live in big cities all by themselves.The unfamiliar environment makes them lack of security and lack of emotional trust.The prosperity of the city makes them feel pressure.Interpersonal communication is indispensable in life and work.Humans are social animals and need to accompany and communicate.If the "empty nest youth" lacks interpersonal communication for a long time,it will have a negative impact on their work and life.The author has contacted many "empty nest youths" during the internship.According to their various performances,this article uses the professional knowledge and skills of social work to explore the interpersonal issues of "empty nest youths" and how to improve the "empty nest youths" interpersonal contacts.Capabilities and skills?Through needs assessment,interpersonal competence scale,and interpersonal trust scale,it is found that many "empty nest youths" have problems such as self-centeredness,low interpersonal trust,fewer contacts,and lack of friendship skills in interpersonal communication.This article uses systems theory,sociology theory,social support theory,social communication theory,etc.,uses literature research method,interview method and questionnaire survey method for research and analysis,and uses professional group knowledge and methods to carry out targeted group activities.Based on a variety of surveys and analysis methods,the author selected 8members to conduct 6 group activities.After 6 group activities,the interpersonal ability scale and interpersonal trust scale were measured again,and the feedback from the group members was carried out.After reflection,I put forward corresponding suggestions,and found that group activities are conducive to the improvement of interpersonal skills of empty nest youths.This article analyzes the interpersonal communication of the "empty nest youth",and has made some expansions in the interpersonal communication of the "empty nestyouth".Therefore,to improve the interpersonal communication ability of the "empty nest youth" requires good living habits,certain dating skills,and the attention of family and the community.Comprehensively found that good interpersonal communication ability can promote the all-round development of people.This article enriches the research on the related fields of "Empty Nest Youth" to improve interpersonal communication ability,and combines the research results,and puts forward suggestions for the "Empty Nest Youth" interpersonal communication.
