| With the rapid progress of urbanization in China,social mobility is becoming more and more frequent,and the population size and regional scope of labor mobility are constantly expanding.Under the background of such social changes,more and more young people leave their hometown and parents alone.Flow into the prosperous metropolis to find a dream,in order to find more employment opportunities and better wages,in order to realize their professional pursuit and personal value,Finally,we will improve the economic living conditions of ourselves and our families.According to the relevant data,the number of empty nest youth groups in China has already exceeded half a billion,and under the action of siphon effect in big cities,empty nest youth are mainly concentrated in economically developed cities such as Beijing,Shanghai,Shenzhen,Guangzhou,Chengdu and so on.The emergence and gradual growth of empty nest youth as a social group has attracted social attention and scholars' research.The media first began to report on the empty nest youth group,but the media affixed a negative label to the empty nest youth group,putting too much emphasis on the loneliness of living alone and all kinds of psychological problems that may arise.Obviously,such a description is subjective and arbitrary.The research on empty nest youth group in China is still in its infancy.In recent years,scholars have mainly studied the social basis,living condition and psychological state of empty nest youth from the perspective of psychology,communication and sociology,and have made some research results.Based on the overall sociological perspective,this study first explains the time and space background of empty nest youth from three aspects:the process of urbanization,the change of family structure and values and social individualization,and then uses the method of interview.through the way of semi-structural interview,30 post-90s empty nest young people from the first-tier and new first-tier cities in China were interviewed to find out the general law of their living conditions.On this basis,this paper describes the solitude and group characteristics of empty nest youth from the aspects of living condition,consumption condition,mental state,social communication condition,psychological condition,emotional condition,working condition and so on.Through the study,it is found that the social circle of empty nest youth is relatively narrow and single,and the main social channel is online interaction by using the Internet.They lack more ways and means to meet their social needs;On the economic side,empty nest young people have to bear the higher cost of living in big cities and poor living conditions;in terms of spirit,empty nest young people lack communication objects and partners in daily life,and they are prone to negative emotions such as loneliness and anxiety if they lack emotional sustenance;in terms of career development,the space for promotion is gradually narrowed.In view of the life predicament of the empty nest youth,the government should perfect the social security system and provide more policy guidance for the housing and employment of the empty nest youth;the society should create a good social atmosphere and give full play to the role of social organizations to provide social support for the empty nest youth;enterprises should actively develop the "one-person economy" and give the empty nest youth the humanistic care they should have.For empty nest young people should strive to improve their own ability,take the initiative out of the comfort circle,increase social participation.Finally,it is concluded that the phenomenon of empty nest youth is an inevitable phenomenon in the process of social transformation in our country.We should treat the empty nest youth group rationally,give them due care and understanding,and need to integrate the strength of all parties in the society.to help empty nest youth realize their personal ideals and self-worth. |
