Under the historical background of socialism with Chinese characteristics entering a new era,China is now in a period of key strategic opportunities to realize the great revival of the Chinese nation,the "Chinese Dream." In the context of the new era,high school ideological and political classes must resolutely implement the party's educational philosophy,further implement the fundamental task of establishing a virtuous person,and strive to cultivate all-round newcomers who are responsible for the new era of national rejuvenation.Current politics education is an extremely important content of ideological and political education in senior high school.Current politics education not only demonstrates the nature and philosophy of the current high school ideological and political courses,but also meets the core literacy requirements of cultivating students with political identity,scientific spirit,public participation,and legal awareness in the context of current new curriculum reform.In the context of the new era,General Secretary Xi Jin ping emphasized:"The Party Central Committee attaches great importance to ideological and political education,and ideological and political theory courses are an important course to implement the fundamental task of education of virtue." As a successor and builder of the socialist cause,it is of great importance and strategic significance for high school students to cultivate their good political and political qualities.On the basis of consulting a large number of literature and conducting a questionnaire and interview survey with good reliability and validity,it is found that there are four major problems in the current politics education of high school ideological and political education:First,the society has a cognitive bias in current politics education;Second,schools lacks guarantee measures for carrying out high school political education;third,teachers have insufficient research on current politics education;finally,Students show little interest in current politics educationBased on a large number of questionnaires and interviews and a comprehensive statistical analysis of the questionnaire data,this paper discusses the current situation,existing problems and causes of current politics education in senior high schools in China.The last chapter of this thesis analyzes and proposes corresponding countermeasures for strengthening high school current politics education in the new era from the four dimensions of social family,school education,teachers,students,and current politics education evaluation mechanism,which provides contemporary high school ideological and political education theory and practical reference.
