In recent years,with the increasing comprehensive national strength of China,more and more people in the world want to know about China.As a carrier of understanding and spreading Chinese culture,more and more people in the world join in the ranks of learning Chinese.As a neighbor of China,South Korea faces China across the Yellow Sea and is a neighbor with a strip of water.With the development of the times and the deepening of the exchanges between the two countries,there has been a Chinese fever in South Korea called "China style".However,all aspects of Chinese teaching in South Korea are not perfect.In addition to the problems of hardware facilities,it is mainly the study of teaching methods.Therefore,how to improve the overall level of Chinese teaching in South Korea and find suitable teaching methods has become a very worthy of study.Total Physical Response was proposed by James J.Asher,of the United States in 1960 s.As a teaching method with international reputation,Total Physical Response has been affirmed in the English teaching field,but it is still in the initial stage in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and there is still a lot of room for development.Based on the theories related to Total Physical Response and the author's11-month Chinese teaching practice in Hunan Horticultural High School in South Korea,this paper explores the feasibility and effectiveness of Total Physical Responsein the Chinese classroom of South Korea high school.This paper consists of six parts.The first part summarizes Total Physical Response and the previous research.In the second part,the author expounds the linguistic,physiological and psychological basis of Total Physical Response.The third part is the feasibility analysis of the implementation of Total Physical Response in South Korea Hunan horticultural high school.In the fourth part,the author introduces the experiment of the Total Physical Response,including the purpose,object,procedure and method of the experiment and the teaching content.The fifth part is to analyze the experimental results.In the sixth part,the author expounds the advantages and disadvantages of Total Physical Response and the problems that should be paid attention to in the implementation process.In addition,the author hopes that through the study of Chinese teaching in Hunan Horticultural High School by Total Physical Response,it can provide some references for Chinese teachers who are struggling in the front line,and make a contribution to Chinese teaching in South Korea.
