The law of conservation of energy is one of the important laws of physics,it is the knowledge point that runs through the whole physics, and it is also the important difficulty of physics teaching. The history of physics plays an important role in physics teaching. It is an important measure to infiltrate it into physics teaching.Based on the analysis and synthesis of relevant literature, this paper first makes a historical inquiry into the development of the law of conservation of energy, presenting the process of scientists exploring energy-related concepts;then makes a comparative analysis of the energy presentation methods of the four commonly used high school physics textbooks in China(PEP Edition,Guangdong Education Edition,Shanghai Science Edition,Luke Edition);then divides energy into four secondary themes: energy form, energy transfer, energy conservation and energy dissipation. The diagnosis showed that: student's understanding of energy conservation and energy dissipation is not optimistic, and the analysis of specific physical problem situations and the transfer of knowledge need to be further strengthened. Finally, according to the students' cognitive law and the development characteristics of energy concept, three teaching suggestions are put forward. This study analyzes the history construction process of energy in detail, provides valuable learning history materials for first-line teachers, and provides relevant teaching suggestions combined with physics teaching materials and teaching characteristics and students' knowledge construction rules,so as to reduce the obstacles encountered by teaching practitioners in energy teaching in the future.
