In recent years,the electronic information industry has developed rapidly,and with the wide application of various electronic products,the demand of temperature sensors for market has become higher then higher.With the improvement of integrated circuit,integrated temperature sensor becomes more and more popular and has a broad market prospect.At present,the mainstream technologies of high-end integrated temperature sensor are still possessed by western developed countries.Compared with them,the domestic technology is quite backward.It is urgent to develop it as fast as possible.This major work of this thesis is to design a temperature sensor which can be used in programmable sensor regulator.For programmable sensor regulator,its result will have error under different temperature,so it need a temperature sensor to get the information feedback to the chip for adjusting itself.In the practical circuit design,the transistor will introduce a lot of non-ideal effect,which will bring errors to the temperature sensor.Oriented towards the source of these errors,the author proposes the error elimination method,and select an architecture which is suitable for the programmable sensor regulator.The submodule including temperature sensing circuit,Delta-Sigma ADC,and decimation filter are designed.The temperature sensing circuit adopts chopper stabilization,dynamic matching(DEM)technology,limited current gain elimination and so on to improve the precision.Delta-Sigma ADC consists of two part,the analog modulator and decimation filter.The structure of second order single ring architecture is adopted for the analog modulator,and the effective output of 13 bits is realized.Decimation filter is realized by the CIC decimation filter,CIC compensation filter,and half band filter,to eliminate the noise generated by the previous stage.Based on XFAB 0.6um BICMOS process library,the temperature sensing circuit and the analog modulator of Delta-Sigma ADC are designed in Cadence IC 615.Both of them are also simulated in Spectre.At the same time,the ideal analog modulator and decimation filter are designed and simulated in Matlab,too.The result shows that the accuracy of +1/-0.84℃ and the resolution of 0.02℃ can be achieved in the range of-40~125℃ for this temperature sensor.
