Modulation recognition system has witnessed a wide application in the fields of information interception,interference recognition,electronic countermeasures and others with the development and application of the wireless communication technology.In view that the scarcity of spectrum resources is becoming increasingly serious,analysis on the occupancy of spectrum resources has offered new applications for the system.ATCA platform,which is designed for next generation communication and data network applications,belongs to a hardware architecture based on modular structure.Compared with the other platforms-based hardware system,the ATCA platform-based system presents obvious advantages in certain aspects,such as reliability,flexibility,compatibility and development difficulty.In this thesis,we have made a research on the hardware design of modulation recognition system in the spectrum utilization evaluation with supports from Major National Science and Technology Projects of China.Firstly,what described in this thesis is to analyze the functional requirements of the modulation recognition system for the hardware and put forward the hardware structure design according to the functional requirements.Secondly,we designed for modules in the hardware system,and completed the physical structure of the ATCA platform-based hardware system.Then,through the programming designs of FPGA and DSP,embedded software implementation in hardware system are realized based on the ATCA platform.Finally,we proposed the test and evaluation methods for the hardware system,and verified that the hardware system can achieve the target performance.The research contents in this thesis mainly refer to the design of the partial overall structure of the hardware in the modulation recognition system,the design of hardware modules,construction of the hardware system,realization of the embedded software implementation in the hardware system and evaluation methods for the performances of the system.
