this paper aims to realize a dual-network system based on Ethernet and Fibre Channel through the research of Fibre Channel protocol and Ethernet protocol.Ethernet focuses on the control,configuration,and detection of the entire system.Fibre Channel networks are used to achieve high-speed data transmission due to it's high transmission bandwidth.This paper first introduces the technical background of Fibre Channel network and Ethernet and the development status at home and abroad.Then introduces the basic characteristics of Fibre Channel protocol,then determine the hierarchical architecture and implementation focus of Fibre Channel network,and then simply analysis the Ethernet MAC protocol.This paper then establishes that the focus of the fiber-optic switching system is FC-2P sub-layer.Through comparison and analysis,the Fibre Channel crossbar switching structure and CICQ scheduling algorithm are designed,which makes the switching structure balance in performance and resource occupancy.This paper then designs the structure of the cells in the switch fabric,frame segmentation and frame recombination strategy.In the design of the Fibre Channel switch circuit module,this paper compares the characteristics of TLK2711 and RocketIO,and innovatively proposes a "virtual highspeed dedicated channel" scheme based on general-purpose FPGA.In this paper,the RocketIO IP core is deeply customized and the interface layer is re-encapsulated,so that the original design can be completely and quickly migrated to the high-performance FPGA.In response to the subject requirements,the RocketIO hard core 8b/10 b codec module is bypassed.This paper redesign the 8b/10 b codec module,cell transmit and receive circuits,flow controllers and port controllers.When designing the Ethernet system,the migration of the UDP/IP protocol stack is emphasized.The data link layer adopts the mature TEMAC IP of Xilinx FPGA,and the physical layer is implemented by the RocketIO hard core and the mature PHY chip.Finally,the module simulation is carried out for "virtual high-speed dedicated channel",switch fabric and Ethernet system,and the hardware implementation is implemented on Xilinx FPGA.The results of simulation and FPGA verification show that the dual-network system designed by this subject is correct and it's performance is good.
