Research On Tongguan Town Evolution Of Spatial Characteristics In The Process Of Industrial Transformation

Town as a kind of special settlement,which is the transfer station for the circulation of funds,talents and technology in urban and rural area.Because of the demand in history of ancient the first and second industry has left a large number of towns with numerous industrial civilization history.Due to the establishment of central planning system and other political factors in the early time of liberation in China,those towns had a strange phenomenon that appeared to atrophy in a large area and even destroyed their own industrial heritage.Tongguan Town has rich historical and cultural industrial background,the space form of Tongguan Town is linked of several social elements,such as geographical factors,ceramics industry,cultural factors and constructional characters of the combination between production and living,which are the interactive effects of natural basis and the change of social frame.Although the ceramic production in Tongguan town is still inheriting,the life style in Tongguan has been changed a lot,which enhanced in the phenomenons of mass labor loss and population density decrease.In the process of renaissance in Tongguan town,the existence of damage to industrial heritages can not be ignored.Meanwhile,the development of tourism industry and the renaissance of Tongguan town didn't have any interactive effects that cause a complex spatial pattern in Tongguan town.Through field research,local design work,literature review and other methods,this dissertation arranged industrial colonies present situation and the development of local space formation.At the same time,it concluded effects of space formation and industrial factors in the process of tourism industrial transformation.Furthermore,this dissertation contributes to understand the characters of building and space forms in the process of social transformation in those industrial towns with the same cultural background in Hunan area,and the changes could effects the life of local villagers deeply.In comparison with the current situation of social transfor-mation from the first industry to the second,third industry in numerous Chinese villages since 21~stt century,the result of this research could offer significant references to rebuilding and refreshment in those towns with splendid industrial heritage like Tongguan town.Meanwhile,the digging of regional culture could offer valuable evidences to modern architectural designing and urban planning.
