Research On The Development Model Of Hunan Contemporary Villages And Small Towns Bed And Breakfast

With the rapid economic development and the increasing standard of living,nowadays people's travel demand shows diversification and personalization features.While seeing the view,people also hope to experience the local folk culture,industrial culture and lifestyle,and B&B's development meet this demand whose main features are cultural experience and family atmosphere.Under the double impact of policy and market,the B&B industry is developing rapidly.For lack of sound management mechanism,the development of domestic B&B industry is still in its infancy now and have many development issues which is urgent need to guide.However,the relevant research about B&B model is insufficient,and the research and practice about the guidance and control of villages and small towns B&B development with the B&B owners as the object even are basically in a blank state.Therefore,taking Hunan villages and small towns B&B development as the research object,this study summarizes and analyzes the theory and practice of the development of domestic and foreign B&B.Based on the development experience of B&B in mature areas and the typical case studies of Hunan contemporary villages and small towns B&B,this study proposes design guidelines adapt to the development of Hunan villages and small towns B&Bs in order to promote their healthy development.This study is divided into 3 parts:basic research,case studies,model and guideline studies.Part 1,summarizes and analyzes the theory research and development situation at home and abroad to sum up the B&B development experiences in mature areas and the development status and characteristics in mainland China including Hunan province,then points out that the level of B&B development of mainland China is still in the initial stage of development and lacks of sound management mechanism and related guidance with B&B owner for object.Part 2,based on the field research of the typical cases in Hunan contemporary villages and small towns B&B(Datuo village B&B,Zhangguying village B&B,ancient Nanyue town B&B and ancient Fenghuang town B&B),summarizes and analyzes the development models,characteristics and problems of Hunan contemporary villages B&B and small towns B&B respectively.Part 3,based on the summary of the development problems of Hunan contemporary villages B&B and small towns B&B,analyzes that the development problems of the Hunan contemporary villages and small towns B&B mainly reflect in reception facilities(in connection with architectural space design directly),features and operating management,and the fundamental reason lies in that villages and small towns B&Bs mainly rely on the power of the individual owners and lack of guidance or support;Then combines B&B development experience in mature areas with field research studies,and establishes guidelines for issues and patterns of Hunan contemporary villages and small towns B&B development.Based on the B&B development experiences in mature areas and the field research of the typical cases in Hunan contemporary villages and small towns B&Bs,this study explores the design guidelines of Hunan contemporary villages and small towns B&B with the B&B owners as the object,and provides some ideas and demonstrations for mainland China villages and small towns B&B development.
