State-owned enterprises take very important position in the national economy,to e nsure the healthy development of state-owned enterprises is of great significance to m aintain social stability.The HRD(Human Resource Development)of these enterprises com monly exist some problems which has seriously affected the further development of en terprises,so how to adopt new strategies to motivate employees will be the keypoint of the state-owned enterprises development.The purpose of this article is to get appro priate motivational strategies for knowledge workers of state-owned enterprises by card ing the classical theory of motivation,the development of the motivate theory and the characteristics of knowledge workers.The petrochemical industry is the most important part of the state-owned economy.Lanzhou Petrochemical Company(LPC)is a crucial refinery and petrochemical product ion basement in western China,which takes outstanding energy strategic position.AS a centralcontroled state-owned entroprise,the HRD of it is relatively backward.So chos en this company as the object of thesis study has great practical significance and theo rctical development.The classic motivational theory says the encourage for employees should firstl y meet the employees's own needs.Knowledge workers commonly acquire knowledge,are able to produce high value-added products,their needs are more complex,so the encouragement for knowledge workers need to be mainly material incentivcd,then ins pired by the spirit,together with the corresponding environmental incentive strategy,in order to achieve the desired results.Acording to the wideranged dissatisfaction with the way of salary distribution for the knowledge workers of LPC,the corresponding material incentives strategy should improve the the remuneration distribution system,develop innovation welfare policy;to create a staff of social influence on employees incentives;environment motivational strategies can be reflected by the establishment of corporate culture,such as strength cning the existing system of staff training,set the appropriate technical appreciation of channels.
