Evaluation Of FDI And Technical Progress Effect

Since 1992,China's foreign economic has a sustained high growth.The rapid development of foreign investment-led economic growth is an important part of China's investment-driven model.According to the 18th Party Congress of China's requirements on foreign direct investment development,the development of Chinese foreign direct investment has an urgent need to transform its capital introduction model to capital,technology and intelligence introduction.China attract more foreign investment shift from quantitative growth to improve and optimize the quality and structure.Therefore,the quality of the country of origin of foreign investment on China's economic growth and technological progress have a greater significance.This article first to sort out the theory and literature of FDI,FDI quality and technology advances,providing a theoretical basis for the study of the paper.Then establish a foreign quality level evaluation system to analysis the quality of foreign investment of 11 major foreign countries from 2001 to 2011,make an evaluation of China's major provinces 'quality from 2001 to 2012.It shows that the quality of foreign investment from South Korea,Japan,the United States and Singapore is better than any other source of foreign investment and foreign investment quality of Liao ning,Jiang su,Shan dong are the best three.Then in the empirical part,through the establishment of FDI scale and technological progress multivariate linear regression model and FDI quality and technological advancement panel data model to study the quality of FDI and technological progress.The results showed that the size of China and foreign investment in research and development to produce a positive impact on technological progress,and the role of human capital and technological progress to have the two sides,and International trade and technological progress has obvious inhibition?Meanwhile,the quality and quantity level of FDI have a positive effect on technological progress in total,though technology introduction have a negtive impact of technological progress sometimes.
