China is world's largest tilapia producing country and exporting supplier, 50% out of which are used for manufacturing export,tilapia production is the essential backbone for earning foreign exchange,promoting local economy and fishermen's income. At present,tilapia production business is facing challenges from foreign market competition, profit rates decreasing annually and comparatively low domestic market recognition, etc.HAINAN A FOOD COMPANY is a tilapia production company, through years of developing, exporting business develops fast and has earned quite an amount of the international markets. However,in addition to the common problems in the domestic tilapia processing industry, the company itself has some weakness in lacking of management skills,human resources,technology and marketing. A company's tilapia production business operation is in dilemma and difficult to make further development.This thesis has systematically analyzed inner and outer environment company's tilapia producing business is facing, and advised to choose overall cost leadership and differentiation developing strategy by using Michael Porter's Five Competitive Model and SWOT analyzing instruments, and company A is supposed to construct competitive advantage by controlling raw material resources, advanced production managements,researching and developing independent technology and differentiated products. Besides,the thesis has developed strategic application and security measures from aspects of creative technology, resources, marketing, financial management and systematic culture.At present, the research of tilapia processing industry in our country is mainly focused on the analysis of the industry and the bottleneck of product export. The thesis is doing analysis in the business perspective, is instructive in helping HAI NAN A FOOD COMPANY develop bigger and stronger, and will also offer reference and guidance for the development planning of tilapia processing enterprises.
