This thesis focuses on the Subsidy Policy of American Agriculture in the era of 1930 to1990.Concentrating on the issues of basic contents,the implementation background and reasons about the Subsidy Policy of American Agriculture,and the effects of policies we have had a comprehensive research and analysis.American government encourages the development of agriculture until the declaration of the U.S.farm bill.In the aspect of physical infrastructure,they improved the road transportation industry.As for the social infrastructure,they carried out the triune system of agricultural education,research and promotion.More importantly,the agriculture credit system offered the financial support for the economical policy.In the late 19 th Century,American agriculture formed a large national market.And the reasons of applying the Subsidy Policy of American Agriculture,in generally,the American agriculture has its own characteristics which the supply exceeds the demand.Farmers are eagerly in need of the support of the federal government.The tree historical stages of the Subsidy Policy of American Agriculture include the subsidy policy for alleviating the contradiction between supply and demand in 1930-1940;the export promotion policy of 1950-1970;and the marketization encouragement policy of 1980-1990.At last we analyzed the effects and influences of the Subsidy Policy of American Agriculture from three major areas: agricultural development,farmer incomes and world trade.The changing of agricultural subsidy policy provides a security barrier for American agriculture,promote the development of American agricultural modernization,guarantee the sustainable development of agriculture,increase farmers' income,enhance the competitiveness of agricultural products in the United States in international trade.
