Performance management has become an important part of mold enterprise management.It is a guarantee for the enterprise to achieve its business objectives.Mold industry is a technology intensive industry,and all of the drawing should be used for only one mould.The characteristics of the R&D engineer's jobs including of technology intensive,heavy work load.tight schedule,work intensity,high error rate and so on.So the performance appraisal system of the mould R&D engineers should be difference from the general type production R&D engineers.This paper focuses on the performance evaluation system of R&D engineers based on the research and development of JK mold company。JK mould company use the KPI model of performance appraisal system for the management positions.But don't have performance appraisal system for R&D engineers,there are so many problems such as low efficiency,poor quality,serious loss of personnel and so on.In this paper,based on the R&D engineers of JK company and the KPI model to studies the performance evaluation methods of the R&D engineers and get the new method of that Creatively put forward key performance indicators,such as Completed workload,technical requirements,design quality,time limit for project,customer differences and so on,through the equivalent coefficients into statistical standards,A series of equivalent coefficients are used to convert each key index into the same measure and then an accurate performance result and performance pay are calculated.At last Setup the performance evaluation system and management process of the mold engineer were setup.
