With the rapid development of the global economy and the advancement of China's reform and opening up process,China's economic strength has continued to increase.Northeast China,as an important part of China's economic development,is currently the bottleneck of development.Due to over-emphasis on economic benefits, many regional development problems have arisen, such as unbalanced development and a single industrial structure. The follow-up force is obviously insufficient.Studying the differences in the economic development of cities in Northeast China not only has an important practical significance for grasping the overall economic structure of Northeast China and promoting the economic integration of the entire region, but also has important theoretical significance for the economic development of other regions. Therefore, studying the urban economic development model in Northeast China can not only effectively solve the problems encountered in the economic development in Northeast China, but also has an important reference role for domestic and foreign scholars to study the urban economic differences in the region and has a certain practical value. This article analyzes the differences in urban economy and the factors that influence it from both theoretical and empirical perspectives.First of all, this paper uses a quantitative measure of regional economic disparities, selects urban per capita GDP as an indicator for analysis, and quantitatively studies the historical changes in the economic disparities between 34 prefecture-level and above cities in the Northeast China from 2001 to 2015.The change trend of the standard deviation, coefficient of variation, and Gini coefficient of urban per capita GDP in different years can be used to analyze the differences and development trends of urban economy in Northeast China.Afterwards, the urban economic differences were further analyzed from three different perspectives of urban development in the northeastern region, including the study of the differences in urban scale in the northeastern region from the scale of population and the first degree, and the differences in urban functional structure in the northeast from the industrial structure.Study the differences in the urban spatial structure of the Northeast region from the location, traffic, and urban agglomerations, which analyzes in detail the level of economic differences between the cities and the provinces in the Northeast China;again, from the theoretical and empirical perspectives, the impact on the Northeast A detailed analysis of the factors of regional urban economic development differences will be made from the following aspects: natural endowment conditions, foreign trade, infrastructure construction, technological progress, industrial structure, capital investment, and government systems. The quantifiable factors were empirically analyzed and the conclusions were drawn. Finally,on the basis of previous theoretical and empirical analysis,it was concluded that the absolute level of urban economic development in the Northeast continued to increase until it began to decline in 2013.Relative difference level overall trend As a downward trend, the urban economic differences in the Northeast have been improved, but the effect is not obvious.According to the research on the status quo of urban economic development in Northeast China in recent years and the influence of the influencing factors, the paper puts forward five policy suggestions on macro-control of urban economic differences in Northeast China.Under the macroeconomic background of a slowdown in global economic growth, inadequate market demand, and overcapacity in the industry,Northeast China needs to promote the economic proliferation and radiation effects of the first cities and urban agglomerations from the perspective of promoting coordinated regional development and sustainable development. To develop advantageous industries in all regions, gradually form a more rational division of labor,an orderly market, and an optimized regional industrial structure, increase investment in various capitals, various technologies and infrastructure, and make the economic environment more orderly and secure. To make the market more efficient, the priority areas for development will continue to maintain economic strength, drive the economic development in backward areas, further optimize the industrial structure in each region, cultivate competitive industries, achieve efficient transformation and upgrading, and achieve coordinated development of the regional economy.
