A Study On The Influencing Factors Of Urban Youth's Entrepreneurial Intention

With the rapid development of China's economy since the reform and opening up,private enterprises have sprung up like mushrooms after rain,further driving the national economy as well as creating jobs.In 2014,Premier Li Keqiang came up with the slogan of "mass entrepreneurship and innovation",which marks over nearly 40 years of the reform and opening up the government firstly took entrepreneurship as a strategic choice to promote the development of economy.It can be seen that we need to encourage more business start-ups than ever before nowadays when our country is growing stronger and our economy achieves unprecedented development.Being a backbone force in social development,the urban youth usually possesses more resources and knowledge.To encourage them to start businesses can not only solve the present problem of high teenage jobless rate but also make it possible to nurture more national enterprises and entrepreneurs.Therefore,the study of urban youth entrepreneurial behavior can not only provide suggestions for improving the participation of urban youth entrepreneurship,but also help to maximize the use of limited entrepreneurial resources to improve the conversion efficiency.This research explored and analyzed the influence of entrepreneur's personality traits and entrepreneurial environment on the formation of entrepreneurial propensity.It found that:1.From the analysis of the relationship between entrepreneur's personality traits,entrepreneurial environment and entrepreneurial propensity we found that entrepreneur's personality traits such as risk taking,internal locus of control and achievement need are critical internal influences on the forming of entrepreneur's entrepreneurial propensity;entrepreneurial environment such as policies and regulations,financing environment,training and education environment and cyberculture environment is critical external influence on entrepreneurial propensity.2.From the result of quantitative analysis we see that internal and external factors have similar influential effect on entrepreneurial propensity of the urban youth,meaning that the two factors are of the same importance to the formation of entrepreneurial propensity.3.We also analyzed how entrepreneur's personality traits and entrepreneurial environment influence entrepreneurial propensity by use of mediation model,finding that entrepreneurial achievement motivation and the sense of efficacy play a mediating role.4.From the analysis of adjusting effect,it can be seen that opportunity-oriented entrepreneurs have more propensity to start a business than necessity-oriented entrepreneurs.From research results we conclude that although being an entrepreneur and even an excellent businessman is attributed to internal factors like "personality" to a great extent,such influence is not decisive while external environment can not be neglected.Only with both can an entrepreneur have more ideas and turn them into reality.Only with both can entrepreneurial behavior be sustained and make a hit.In order to examine whether the variables chosen in this research have realistic basis,we select two urban youth entrepreneurs and interview them about the process of the emergence,change,determination and realizing of their entrepreneurial ideas.The results confirm the rationality of this research and show its defects.This research on entrepreneurial propensity of the urban youth will supplement relevant theories of study at home.It is the inheritance and development of the foreign and domestic study on entrepreneurial behaviors and entrepreneurs and the practical application of the theory of entrepreneurial behaviors.
