A Study On The Measurement Of The Contribution Of Tourism To The National Economy

Since the reform and opening up,people's lives have undergone earth-shaking changes,and the pursuit of material and spiritual has been greatly improved.Tourism has entered the stage of rapid development along with the development of the national economy and it has gradually become an important driving force for the economic development of most countries.Especially for some tourist countries,it has even become the backbone of its national economic development.With the transformation of economy,the importance of tourism in the national economy has been continuously improved.Through making comparison tables,it has been found that tourism and the 26 sectors of the national economy have different degrees of relations.It is an integrated industry that integrates various industries.Tourism can affect other departments through its own development through industry-related effects.Therefore,it has obvious practical significance to study the contribution of tourism to the national economy.At present,studies on the contribution of the existing literature to the economic contribution of the tourism industry mostly use the general econometric method or the input-output method.It is difficult to distinguish the different impacts of domestic tourism and international tourism.This paper has prepared a non-competitive input-output table,calculate the economic effects of tourism from both domestic and foreign sources.This article strictly complies with the classification criteria for the National Statistical Classification of Tourism and Related Industries(2015)and the Classification of National Economic Industries(GB/T 4754-2011),and compiles the tourism sector comparison table based on the “2012 China Input-Output Table”.Merging and disaggregating various sectors of the tourism industry with the data of the 2013 Tourism Sampling Survey Data by using the stripping coefficient method,and the 26 input and output tables for the tourism industry were compiled.Then compile the non-competitive input-output table by calculating the import product using the structure matrix.This article divides tourism into six major sectors: traveling,travel accommodation,travel catering,travel shopping,and other tourism services.It measures the GDP,employment,industrial structure,and fiscal tax.The research results show that in terms of contribution to GDP,domestic tourism contributes more to GDP than foreign tourism,considering both sub-sectors and the overall situation,by calculating the output multipliers of the overall tourism industry,the output multipliers are located in the top three places,followed by tourism accommodation,tourism trips and tourism shopping.The output multipliers are 3.77,3.75,and 3.17;in terms of labor employment,the top three places in terms of contribution to employment are tourism travel,tourism and catering departments,and tourism and shopping;in terms of industry linkages,after deducting intermediate use of imported goods,the industry-related effects are located in the travel and travel accommodation sectors in the top two.The influence coefficients are 1.11 and 1.04,and the sensitivity coefficients are 1.22 and 1.15,respectively.The two coefficients of the two sectors are all greater than 1,indicating that their contribution to the national economy is greater than the average social level and is an important sector for the development of the national economy;in fiscal taxation,the tourism and shopping sector has contributed the most to the fiscal taxation,accounting for 3.91% of the total tax revenue for the entire year.Its contribution is far greater than the sum of other five sectors.The innovation of this paper is that it is strictly compiled in accordance with the Statistical Classification of National Tourism and Related Industries(2015),and it is compiled according to the major categories of the tourism industry for the first time.Through the production of the tourism sector comparison table,the tourism non-competitive input-output table was further compiled to calculate the correlation coefficient,and the contribution of various sectors of tourism to various aspects of the national economy was analyzed.Since there is no ready-made non-competitive input-output table and accurate data for research,some of the data in this paper is derived through a certain method,so the data may have a certain amount of error.
