The telecommunications industry is the basic sector which supports national economy and society development. It has momentous relations with economic lifeline, information sceurity and social stability, and is the significant base of building All-round Well-off Society and Harmonious Society. With the development of market economy, the industrial structure and industry interrelation with other departments of the telecommunications industry change a lot. Therefore the study on the input-output relation between the telecommunications industry and other sectors is the key of grasping the telecommunications industry's industrial structure and industrialization connection, and setting down the telecommunications developmental strategy .The thesis first reviews the related research from both domestic and overseas, analyzes the present situation of the telecommunications industry in China from the macroscopic stratification plane, and analyzes the industry characteristics of the telecommunications industry from economics. It determines to take freight telecom operators which occupies the telecommunications industry main part as the telecommunications industry department, building the foundation for input-output analysis as follows. In this thesis, it tries to make a research on contriution of the telecommunications industry to national economy, which is based on input-output analysis method. The paper calculates direct consumption coefficient and total consumption coefficient, direct distribution coefficient and full distribution coefficient, intermediate demand rate and intermediate input rate, influence coefficient and sensitivity coeffieient, output volatility and price volatility of the telecommunications industry to the various branches and sectors of national economy, as well as the employment function of the telecommunications industry through analyzing 6 input-output tables of the years of 1992, 1995, 1997, 2000, 2002 and 2005 that have merged into 18 sectors (when the telecommunications industry was separated from the 6 input-output tables). The conclusions of this thesis indicates that, the telecommunications industry is not the increase in value biggest pillar industry, still belongs to the between product foundation industry, should urge it to the low-input rate, the high value-added industrial ranks to transform unceasingly. The telecommunications industry influence coefficient and the sensitivity coefficient are high, must carry on the development as the leading industry. At the same time, the telecommunications industry sensitivity is higher than the influence, being suitable adopts the initiative development pattern. The majority of telecommunication service product serves as by the various branches and sectors of a national economy the between product investment productive consumption, the telecommunications industry quite is strong with other industrial front relevance, and has the very big impetus function to other industrial development. The change of production value of the telecommunications industry spreads most to the second industry ,but the change of price of the telecommunications industry spreads most to the tertiary industry. The influence of the telecommunications industry is higher than other industries in the tertiary industry to the employment.
