Evaluation System And Method Of Contribution Of The Transportation Industry On Socio-economic Development

As the basement of socio-economic development,the transportation industry can be conducive to the development of various sectors of the national economy,therefore,there must be links between the development of the transportation industry and socio-economic development.The transportation industry plays increasingly important roles in people's daily life,they become more and more dependent on transportation.The transportation industry and socio-economic development influence and restraint each other,only coordinate development of the two can achieve sustainable socio-economic development.Due to differences in regional development,the impact of the transport industry on the economies of different regions is also different.In order to develop the transportation industry more scientific and rationally,as well as provide guarantee for the socio-economic development,it is needed to evaluate the contribution of the transportation industry to the socio-economic development objectively and impartially.Firstly,this paper summarizes the relevant research results about the impacts of the transportation industry on the economic development at home and abroad,and explains some theories related to the transportation industry and socio-economic development.Then,finding out sectors in the development process of social economy impacted by the transportation through the analysis of factors of social econormy,a system aiming at measuring the contribution of the transportation industry on socio-economic development is constructed.Next,in contrast to the advantages and disadvantages of the commonly used evaluation methods,the grey relational analysis method is used to measure the contribution of the transportation industry on socio-economic development.In the end,this paper takes Chongqing as an example to test the applicability of the method,the results reflect the contribution on socio-economic development of the transportation industry in Chongqing from 2010 to 2015;and gives some suggestions on how can the transportation industry promote socio-economic development in combination with domestic and foreign experience aiming at providing a reference to relative sectors of transportation on decision-making and management.
