Analysis Of High-tech Industry Impact On Economic Development In Gansu Province

The high-tech industry plays an important role in promoting thesustained, rapid and coordinated development of economy and society. Ithas a huge and far-reaching impact on local economic and socialdevelopment. In recent years, with the gradual rise and development ofthe high-tech industry, its impact on economic development increasinglyattracted the concern of academia, industry and local government.Currently, the comprehensive quantitative analysis of high-tech industriesimpact on economic development in Gansu Province is still blank. Theexisting research is mainly related to the qualitative analysis of Gansuhigh-tech industry development status and countermeasures. In order tofurther understand the impact of high-tech industries on Gansu economicdevelopment and fully grasp the advantages and disadvantages of itsdevelopment, we use gray relational analysis and its improved method forquantitative analysis. Hope to get a more comprehensive empirical resultsand provide a feasible measures for the development of Gansu high-techindustry.In terms of qualitative analysis, this paper expounded the theory ofthe high-tech industry and economic development, as well as themechanism of the high-tech industry played on economic development.This provided a theoretical support for the empirical analysis below. Then we designed a relatively scientific and reasonable evaluation indexsystem. It incorporated the various aspects of economic efficiency,employment status, industrial structure, technological innovation andindustrial policy support into the same research system.In terms of quantitative analysis, used descriptive statistical methodsto analyze the status and problems of the Gansu high-tech industry. Thenstudied the the specific factors and industry segments of it. This articlecarried on longitudinal comparison and horizontal comparison forestimating the impact on economic development, and then predicted theinfluence of the next five years. The empirical results showed that thepromoting effect of Gansu high-tech industry on the economy was limited,its advantages could not be fully embodies. We should strengthen theinvestment of important factors and key industries and then make itbecome an important growth point for the promotion of economy.Finally, according to the results of the assessment of the empiricalresearch, put forward emphases and countermeasures of the high-techindustry development in Gansu Province. This laid a certain foundation toenhance Gansu high-tech industry role in promoting economicdevelopment.
