If innovation is the basis of enterprise survival and development,and green is the catalyst for continuous innovation of enterprises,then green innovation is the cornerstone of sustainable development of enterprises.According to the practice of the Green Innovation development of Chinese manufacturing enterprises,green innovation has become the key factor for enterprises to gain competitive advantage and realize transformation and upgrade,which means that the manufacturing enterprises have entered the era of competition based on green innovation.Practice shows that only focusing on green exploratory innovation or green exploitative innovation can't bring "Built to Last" for the Chinese enterprise,they need to change their innovative mindset from unitary thinking to green ambidextrous thinking.Based on natural resource-based view,ambidextrous view and institutional theory,this paper focus on the question of the balanced and combined dimensions between green exploratory innovation and green exploitative innovation,which is namely how to achieve green ambidextrous innovation,and further studies the interact influences of slack resource on ambidextrous innovation,and regulating function of environmental regulation.Thus,this paper focus on the balanced and combined dimensions of green ambidextrous innovation,distinguishes absorbed/unabsorbed slack resource and regulation of command-control/market-incentive,and most-importantly proposes a research model on the influences of slack resource and environmental regulation on the balanced and combined dimensions of green ambidextrous innovation.This study used maturity scale referring to the existing literature,and carried out surveys about manufacturing enterprises with greater impact to environment,and used final 381 samples from survey data to empirical verify the model and hypotheses proposed in this paper.Through empirical analysis,the conclusions are as follows: Firstly,excessive unabsorbed slack resource is beneficial to the combined dimension of green ambidexterity innovation of the enterprise,but it will lead to the imbalance between green exploratory innovation and green exploitative innovation,which is unfavorable to the development of the balanced dimension of green ambidexterity innovation.Secondly,command-control and market-incentive regulation have a significant moderating effect on the relationship between the absorbed slack resources and the combined dimension of green ambidexterity innovation.Therefore,when the enterprise faces the intensity regulation of the government,the negative effect of the absorbed slack on the combined dimension of green ambidexterity innovation will be more prominent.The greater the Government's support,the more it weakens the negative effects of the absorbed slack on the combined dimension of green ambidexterity innovation.Thirdly,command-control and market-incentive regulation has a significant moderating effect on the relationship between unabsorbed slack and the balanced and combined dimensions of green ambidextrous innovation.Therefore,the results of this paper show that,firstly,the absorbed slack has different effects on the two dimensions of green ambidexterity innovation,deepens the understanding of the slack resource of green ambidexterity innovation activities,and promotes the development of the enterprise green innovation theory to a more refined and dimension-oriented direction.Second,by moderating role of the regulation,to activate the slack resource moderately and to promote the green innovation of enterprises,this paper discusses how to regulate the relationship between slack resource and the balanced and combined dimension of green ambidexterity innovation by different degree of command-control regulation,and realizes the further development of the system theory,and the understanding of the theory is more comprehensive.
