Cooperative innovation has become an important way to promote economic development and enhance the independent innovation capability of equipment manufacturing industry,which plays an significant role in the economic revitalization of the Northeast China.With the coming of knowledge economy era,innovation has become the core and key factors of regional competition.Because of the complexity and comprehensiveness of innovation,the dependence of universities,enterprises and governments on external innovation resources is becoming more and more strong,and it is more inclined to improve the innovation ability through cooperation.The simple linear innovation model has gradually evolved into a complex relational network model.Although the equipment manufacturing industry in Northeast China has made great progress in the field of innovation,the research on the development of innovation network under the micro dimension is insufficient and the ability of cooperation innovation is weak.This research is based on 1985-2015 years' patent application data of equipment manufacturing industry in Northeast China.Using the social network analysis and ArcGIS spatial analysis method,this paper analyzes the co-innovation network structure of Government-Industry-University and the evolution characteristics of the equipment manufacturing industry in temporal and spatial in China.Besides,this paper uses the three helix algorithm to explore the degree of the innovation synergy and transmission power of the Government-Industry-University.The purpose is to provide some references for the northeast area to enhance the innovation capability of the equipment manufacturing industry and implement the "going global" strategy.This research first reviews the research status of the innovation cooperation network and the three helix theory at home and abroad,and then defines the concept of Government-Industry-University,innovation network and equipment manufacturing,and further expounds the basic theory of resource base theory,industrial cluster theory and the three helix theory.The social network analysis,ArcGIS spatial analysis and three helix algorithm are used to analyze the evolution characteristics of the innovation cooperation network of the equipment manufacturing industry in Northeast China,and on this basis,the countermeasures to improve the innovation cooperation network in Northeast China are putforward.The full paper is divided into three parts: the first and second sections are the first part of the paper,which mainly lays the theoretical foundation for the article;the third,fourth,fifth and six section is the second part of the paper.It mainly analyzes the evolution characteristics of the innovation cooperation network,the degree of the innovation synergy and transmission power of the Government-Industry-University,and the countermeasures and suggestions;the third part is the seventh section of the article.It mainly introduces the shortcomings of the article and the future research directions.The results show that:(1)the co-innovation network of equipment manufacturing industry in Northeast China has been in a stage of rapid development after the initial exploration and slow growth stage.The number of patent applications has increased rapidly,and the ability of co-innovation has improved.(2)The scale of co-innovation network of equipment manufacturing industry has gradually expanded,but the density of the network has declined.The structure of co-innovation network tends to be loose on the whole and presents the structure of "core-edge".It is more and more obvious of the polarization effect of innovation subject.Furthermore,the co-innovation follows the geographical distance attenuation law in space.(3)University is still the main force of co-innovation network of equipment manufacturing industry in Northeast china and enterprise is expected to become a new important innovation subject.The ratio of government participation in innovation cooperation is the lowest.(4)The three helix system of the equipment manufacturing industry in Northeast China is short of central coordination for a long time.The cooperation between the main bodies is mainly based on the cooperation of the two,and the system is characterized by self-organization.The main body of innovation network is lack of high-level cooperation,which fails to give full play to the collaborative innovation ability of University,industry and government.The transmission power of cooperation shows a downward trend on the whole,and it is still at a low level between government-industry-university innovation subjects.
