The Influence Of Entrepreneurial Decision-making Logic On The New Venture Emergency

Entrepreneurial entrepreneurial decision-making behavior throughout the entrepreneurial process,entrepreneurial decision-making logic as the entrepreneurial logic to guide the decision-making process is crucial.Causation and Effectuation are the two main types of entrepreneurial decision-making logic,and the effectual logic,as a logic of the entrepreneurial decision-making opposite to the traditional and goal-oriented causal logic,has been attracting much attention as soon as it is put forward.Scholars have done a lot of research on the impact of effect logic on the performance of new ventures.However,few studies have compared the effectual logic and causal logic on the performance of new ventures in the same context,most of the studies on the difference between the two entrepreneurial decision-making logic remain in the concept of definition,validity test and so on.In addition,most of the post-research of entrepreneurial decision-making logic focus on the performance of new ventures,while seldom focus the research perspective on the front end of the enterprise life cycle and focuses on the impact of entrepreneurial decision-making logic on the new venture emergency.In this context,this paper traces the research perspective to the front of the enterprise life cycle,deepens the decision-making logic of entrepreneurs,explores the relationship between entrepreneurial decision-making logic and new venture emergency,and comparatively analyzes the impact mechanism of the causal logic and effectual logic on the generation of new venture.Based on the first two rounds of survey data from China Panel Study of Entrepreneurial dynamics,this paper selects 259 entrepreneurs as samples and uses logistic regression analysis as the research method to empirically study the impact of logic of effectual logic and causal logic on the new venture emergency,and draws the following conclusions: Firstly,two different entrepreneurial decision-making logic,namely,the causal logic and the effectual logic have a certain influence which is both positive and negative on the generation of new venture;Secondly,partnerships has a positive effect on the generation of new venture,while means-based and leveraging contingency has a negative effect on the generation of new venture in the decision-making mode of effectual logic;Finally,the goal-oriented decision-making method has a negative role in promoting the generation of new venture,while avoiding contingency has a positive role in promoting the the generation of new venture in thedecision-making mode of causal logic.The conclusion of this paper is not only of great significance to the research on the theory of entrepreneurial decision,but also has a certain guiding value for the practice of entrepreneurship.In terms of theoretical contribution,this paper traces the research perspective to the front of the enterprise life cycle,broadens the research on the postpositional factors of the effectuation,enriches the differentiation research on the postpositional perspective of the entrepreneurial decision-making logic,and at the same time complements the study of the effectuation theory in Chinese context.In terms of practical guidance,the conclusions of this paper provide targeted guidance and suggestions for the effective making of entrepreneurship decision,the improvement of entrepreneurship education,the development of social economy and technology.
