The Research On The Effects Of Effectuation On New Venture Performance

Since the 1990 s,the development of Internet information technology has led to the increase of environmental uncertainty,new ventures have been faced with unclear goals and immature market.In this context,it's impossible to use the traditional management decision-making theory all the time.Whether it is entrepreneurial practice,or management theory,new entrepreneurial theory used to give guidance to entrepreneurship is needed.So,professor Sarasvathy based on Simon's decision-making theory,combines with the status quo of entrepreneurial economic development,breaks the traditional economics and management of some assumptions,puts forward effectuation theory,which is more applicable to the entrepreneurial situation and entrepreneurs to solve the actual entrepreneurial problems.On the basis of summarizing and reviewing the relevant literatures about effectuation theory,this paper frames the research model of the effects of effectuation on new venture performance.Based on the CPSED data,we choose 202 entrepreneurs as the sample,and then use the factor analysis,correlation analysis,regression analysis,draw following conclusions: available means of entrepreneurial performance have a certain effects on new venture performance,but the regulating effect of the scarcity of entrepreneurial resources is not obvious;affordable loss doesn't have effect on new venture performance,but the regulating effect of the scarcity of entrepreneurial resources is obvious;partnerships can promote new venture performance,but the regulating effect of the scarcity of entrepreneurial resources is not obvious;leverage contingency have no obvious effects on new venture performance,but the regulating effect of the scarcity of entrepreneurial resources is not obvious.The conclusions of this paper is very significant to the effectuation theory and entrepreneurial practice.As for entrepreneurial theory,the study enriches the study of effectuation theory,and deepens the research on the performance of entrepreneurial resources through strategic behavior.In addition,this study proves that the impact of the effect logic on new venture performance in Chinese entrepreneurial context.As for entrepreneurial practice,this study provides specific guidance and advice for entrepreneurs and resources owners.
