Nowadays,the rapid development of technology has made the Internet an indispensable part of people's lives,and the public's consumption habits have gradually shifted from offline to online.With the rapid development of information technology and the widespread application of the Internet,the various market entities are closely linked through the network,and the economic operation and market trading methods have undergone revolutionary changes,and the efficiency of resource allocation has been significantly improved.Electronic commerce,as an important industry in modern service industry,has the advantages of rational distribution and regulation of market resources and effective cost reduction.At the same time,e-commerce is also a rapidly developing industry in China,and it is used in various fields in China.It has been continuously expanded and improved,and it is gradually integrating with the real economy.It has further promoted residents 'consumption and improved residents' consumption.level.Therefore,it is of great significance and practical significance to study the impact of the development of electronic commerce on the consumption of Chinese residents.First of all,systematically sort out relevant literature on the influence of domestic and foreign e-commerce on residents' consumption,elaborate relevant concepts of e-commerce development,and propose a theoretical analysis of the status quo of e-commerce and residential consumption development.Second,based on the analysis of the impact of China's e-commerce on consumer spending,a time-series VAR model was constructed.Through the selection of relevant indicators such as household consumption rate,e-commerce shopping market scale,and e-commerce development density,the 2008-2017 correlation was used.Data and use SPSS,Matlab,Eviews and other software,as well as related analysis,factor analysis and other statistical methods to process and analyze the data.Finally,qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis were combined to study the impact of e-commerce development on residents' consumption in China,and to compare the impact of e-commerce on urban and rural residents' consumption in China.The conclusion of this paper shows.that the development level of the network economy is positively related to the average consumption trend of urban and rural residents,indicating that the sound development of e-commerce under the established income level can promote the expansion of consumer demand.The correlation between Internet penetration rate and rural residents' consumption propensity is significantly higher than that of urban residents.It shows that the development of e-commerce under the network economy environment has a significant effect on increasing residents' propensity to consume.Therefore,promoting the popularization and application of e-commerce in China can promote the balanced development of urban and rural residents' consumption.
