The Truth Of Liao Ning Province Economic Growth

Since the State Council issued the "Several Opinions on Implementing the Revitalization Strategy of Old Industrial Bases in Northeast China and Other Areas," the three northeastern provinces have accelerated their economic development.due to reform and opening up,the development gap has been gradually reduced,basically catching up with the average growth rate in the country.But in recent years economic development has shown a weak trend.And the problem of counterfeiting economic data,which is represented by Liaoning Province,has been discovered,and the issue of GDP data quality has become a hot issue in academic circles.The OLS(operational Linescan System)sensors carried by the United States Defense Meteorological Satellite and have strong light detection and photoelectric amplification capabilities.It can detect light,flare and other human activities and provide a new data method for economic development research.Compared with traditional statistic data,night light data has advantages of objectivity and spatiality,and has been widely used in human activities,urban development,ecological environment and other aspects of research.In this paper,Liaoning Province,which is more prominent in the quality of GDP data,is taken as the research area,and the DMSP/OLS non-radioactive nighttime lighting data is used as the main data source.Using GIS spatial analysis to carry out the analysis of the authenticity of economic growth statistics.The aim is to use the advantages of DMSP/OLS data to systematically analyze and evaluate the authenticity of economic growth data in Liaoning Province.The specific research content is as follows:(1)Using the statistic data of 14 cities in Liaoning Province,the correlation between DMSP/OLS and GDP was verified,and the regression model was used to estimate the real economic development data of Liaoning Province.(2)The power consumption data were used to verify the correlation strength between DMSP/OLS and GDP data and the substitution degree of DMSP/OLS on GDP.As a result,it was found that the regional gross domestic product(GDP)is closely related to the night light intensity index,and it is feasible to apply the DMSP/OLS to analyze the development of the economy.
