| Altruism has been an important aspect of behavioral economics study.By introducing others' benefits into individual's utility function, scientists have found that people's behaviors are affected by many other factors, such as the willingness to help and sense of fairness. In biology and psychology, reciprocity is one form of altruism, which is widely observed in our daily life.In order to explain this phenomenon from the economical view,we conduct a two-part dictator game in which recipients in an initial game become dictators in a second game.We find that the amount they send in the second round is strongly correlated with the amount received by them.Besides,we give the recipients a chance to express their feelings after receiving their amounts of money.By doing this,we intend to find out if the voice has something to do with their altruistic behaviors. Finally,we conduct a Big-Five test to explore the relationship between characteristics and altruism. We find that voice has a positive effect on people's altruistic behaviors.People who can express their feelings are inclined to give more money, especially under unfair circumstances.Unexpectedly,we haven't found stable and significant correlations between personality and altruism except for neuroticism, which shows a positive relationship with altruism. However, voice has a positive impact on people with high degree of neuroticism. |
